Small-Group Bar Hop in Shediac Including Dinner

A fun activity that is already organized for you and your friends. The only thing left for you to do is call up a small group. Whether you are from the area or visiting, this is an awesome way to hang out.

We will guide you to three different restaurants where you will receive a specially curated appetizer and a suggestion of local beer or wine. Feel free to make this a dry run, or a party celebration if you feel like it! At Chez Gabrièle, La Coast, and Le Moque-Tortue, you will feel right at home. The lights of Shediac’s Main Street will set the mood for a fun night out with friends or family (while respecting the Covid-19 rules). We will guide you from a place to the other while telling you the legends of Shediac. Our role is to ease the process; we organise, you invite the ‘funnest’ people you know! This is a great way to get to know the different Shediac restaurants all in one night!

Sunday Drive

Follow us to see the best spots on the Acadian coastal drive! In your own car, you will follow us up the Acadian Coastal Drive. The beautiful sights will surely blow you away as we take our time to stop at 6 different locations. The first stop is the well-known, Chez Léo. Their most famous dish will be offered to you as the owner’s son explains the family business. We will then make our way to Joe’s Smokehouse where you will have a taste of bbq goodness. The last food stop will be a bit different since we’ll do it take out! We will stop by Joe Caissie’s to get oysters and we will stop at a local beach to taste them. Along the way, we will stop at different wharfs since they’re full of history. Finally, Daniel Leger, an Acadian artist, will welcome you to his musical barn behind his house to end the tour. We are lucky to include him in our partners this year, as well as all the restaurant owners that you will get to meet.

Review of: Sunday Drive
Our second tour with Viva Shediac and another wonderful day ! We had the BEST fried clams ever!! - at Chez Leo and enjoyed meeting the owner and manager. The 40km drive was beautiful and we loved the oysters ! ( and the sausage !) They introduced us to Grange Du Chavire - a very special stop on your Sunday Drive Tour ! Daniel Leger was both charming and talented ! He entertained us with songs and stories of his life thru music! We can’t say enough about the experience ! The entire tour is fabulous - but meeting Daniel and hearing his music was the highlight ! Thanks again for another great day !

Thank you so much Julie, we will be sure to share your kind words with Daniel. A little birdie told us that you stopped at Chez Leo for supper on the way back. Thank you so much for supporting local businesses. We had a lot of fun with your group. Come back anytime.

What a great time. Food was amazing. Best Mussels I’ve ever had, bacon wrapped scallops, Fricot (Google it and try it), and ending with some delicious chocolates. Karine was amazing and showed us why she loved Shediac.

Very enjoyable and informative! Our guide was Karinne. The tour should have lasted about 1hr & 15 minutes but I think it was close to 2 hours. We were the only ones on the tour yesterday morning and Karinne did the regular route distance-wise but took more time with us. She explained the history of Shediac, the significant houses and who used to live there. We stopped by the restored old train station whose guide took us through the exhibits there. They had a little blue book ‘Instructions for Railway Passengers’ told by drawings and text. Could probably be reprinted and offered for sale to visitors? Karinne and her business partner Francois are two enterprising students who started their company this year. They are both fully bilingual- good for them! They also offer a 3-hour tasting tour of Shediac which sounds great. Highly recommended! P.S. Karinne, do you remember the story about the $1 bill and the wood being transported on the Ottawa River?

First of all it was wonderful to meet such enterprising young people- making the best of their talents. We felt very lucky to have our own private tour with Karine, whose knowledge of the history of the area was impeccable. Her personalised stories about her family helped to make it that much more real. Congratulations to you both for making the most of your gifts. All the best to you both in your future endeavors.
