We visited early in the season but it was still wonderful. The views and the history are amazing. Dress warmly and if you plan to walk the trails wear good footwear and be aware the coastal walk is tricky in spots

Really an essential stop on St John's; walk, drive or hike up. Watch the weather for a clear break and you'll see through the eyes of 5 centuries.

I've been a resident of St. John's for some time now and Signal Hill continues to amaze me. You can either do the hike around battery park through the side hill facing the Narrows or drive up the meandering roads that leads to Cabot Tower. It's a must for visitors and residents alike. You can see Cape Spear at a... More

The view from the top was incredible even in the fog. There appeared to be good hiking trails but we did not take them.

Signal Hill was one of many spots we visited in NL. The walk along the seaside was fabulous and in one spot a little precarious if you are concerned about rolling down a cliff into the North Atlantic. You get a good of view of St John's and the harbour. A great place to start a trip of enchanting people... More

Awesome place to see the history of Newfoundland. Big site with lots of options to chose from. If you want to make it a fitness thing, walk all the way to the top, don't drive it.

Best views in town. Walk the north trail in reverse as it'll be mostly downhill. There are many different paths to take at the park. Bring a lunch from the battery cafe!!!

I was just there and was surprise how strong and cold the winds were. Dress warmly if it is not the dead of summer. Great view of the city and the harbour. I am sure it would be even better in the evening when the city lights are on.

Beautiful vistas of the ocean and St Johns no matter where you look. Hike around the hill took us about an hour. Lots of steps and some cliff-side walks. Be ready for some great exercise.
