This place is in need of serious renovations. It appears to be poorly maintained. Had I read the reviews first, I probably still would have gone, but with tailored expectations. The best part is free, walking the trails. That's all I'll say.

Me Mother Glenda O’Doole raised me a good Catholic so I’m after suspending my disbelief on this one. Even evolution is possible with an old Sam and a gravol!spent some time eyeing the fish in the tank. Bys are as into it as I was! Near meditated with the hum of the pumps. I’ll be back fer a dip on the other side of that glass view under the lake. Give you all a wave!

This attraction is suited to kids, school trips and Brownie/Cub groups.
The kids can learn about the lifecycle of water, there is a water table to play in. Other than that there is not much to see or do. The river that runs past the viewing window is almost impossible to see into. The water is brown and murky and the window is dirty and slimy. Suncor should reinvest some money into renovating it and create a showcase in the City.

To have such an oasis within the city is phenomenal!

The pond is a natural pond, complete with aquatic plants, brush, a fish ladder, birds and of course, marine life! Then you descend a level, and through 9 large viewing windows, you are able to watch life “flowing under the water” in their natural habitat. Our guide obviously loved his work, and if you arrive at “feeding time” you get to see greater interactions.

When you descent another level, they have many large aquariums to house various marine life – reptiles and fish. Add in static displays and some short films. They also run a day program, which I was told was fully booked for the summer. To say that you get a whole different slant on life, would be (pardon the pun) an understatement.

I think “windows on a stream” best describes what a Fluvarium is!

The advertisements for this place stress the viewing windows on the stream. I understand from the management that these are often dirty because they look onto an actual stream and so can get dirty easily. However, there is very limited views of the stream and not much to look at. The other exhibits are fine for smaller children (many of whom seemed to be playing happily) but not much for adults or older children.

Went expecting so much more and we were quite disappointed-for adults other than see a bit of the bottom of the stream through glass windows-mostly everything else was suited to children

It rained hard the night before we visited, and the young woman at the admission desk cautioned us that the water might be cloudy, obscuring our view of the fish. We entered anyway and had no trouble seeing brown trout of all sizes and salmon parr, plus assorted other fish and amphibians. Another staff member was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and answered my husband's many questions about fish habits and habitats. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in aquatic life and water issues.

My granddaughter was enchanted and I was delighted by the exhibit which looks into the side of an actual flowing body of water. You get the fish's view when a fly hits the water above you both. Changes your whole perspective so to speak. The exhibit is simple to the point and informative, well worth the trouble.
Afterward a walk around the near bye lake is also a great treat. cannot say enough good about it. lots of kids watching real fish in the wild will find it very informative, a great place to take your youngsters and yourself to get a whole new view of things.

We read about this place in Frommer's and he gave it glowing reviews. You walk in the front door and descend down the stairs where there are exhibits about the local streams and water and windows that allow you to view the stream passing by from under the water. The glass could use a good cleaning and there really wasn't much to look at that day but the staff was extremely helpful, possibly because it is geared towards pre- and grade school children. Good place to take kids.

A staff member took the time and interest to show my grandson microscopic organisms under a microscope. He had a very memorial experience!
