It was okay but not for the hype given! Prices are high but I guess it's the attraction that you pay for! There were some great entertainment! Maybe some upkeep on some of the pubs with a fresher look might help😜

Go and "kiss the cod", enjoy the music, the food, and the beer. It is well worth an afternoon or an evening. You can take your pick of the dozens of pubs---and more than one will easily meet your expectations.

The last weekend in July into early August is quite busy. The George Street Festival is the last weekend in July. The St. John's Annual Regatta is the first Wednesday in August. 2018 is the 200th anniversary. So, if you are going to come around then you'd best book tickets (to the George Street Festival) in advance. Other than that, tourisrm time is busy (restaurant reservations might be an idea) but not brutal.
