If you like bar hopping, Irish bars and dancing then check out George St. I really couldn’t believe they had that many bars in one spot! Lots of the bars have food.

Bars, pubs, food and nightlife! Be sure to get Screeched at Christian's! Great lobster at Green Sleeves! We have a couple more days here and we will be back to George Street!

George Street is full of small shops, pubs and restaurants. You should be able to find something you like easily. Parking is hard to come by so park on a side street and walk. Tax in NFLD is 15% so be prepared for that.

It's called the biggest little street that nobody's heard of - and that's pretty accurate! Full of fun bars and brimming with Newfoundland culture, this is a good place to have a fun night.

This street would be great on a weekend or during the summer. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Everyone very friendly.

On Friday night it is as if everyone is out for a beer. Many pubs and bars present live music. It seems to be a multigenerational activity to do for the weekend.

George street has gone downhill in recent years. There is a big problem with drugs, violence and underage drinking. It's a beautiful place with a lot of history, but if you want to visit I recommend leaving before 11pm. That's when heavy partying begins and it...More
