We heard that to get Screeched in, this was the place. The place was closed for the day, I called and owner Linda, opened the place up.
Linda is a great story teller and wonderful personality.
She Screeched in 3 of our friends and what a performance it was.
We flew in for the thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed every moment of St Johns.

We were recently in St. Johns and someone said that Inn of Olde was a must see. As others say, its a little pub with the most amazing owner - Linda!! You can't visit St. Johns without stopping in to meet this fantastic lady.
No words can describe the place, its a place you need to visit to understand. Linda's stories were remarkable, she has such a huge heart and quite the entertainer so to speak. She was kind enough and even "screeched" us all in.
This was one of our most favourite memories of NFLD, meeting Linda and spending a few hours in this little Inn of Olde pub. Linda and her pub are truly the soul and heart of Newfoundland. The history and the atmosphere of this little pub is second to none!

During our cross Canada tour we stumbled upon Linda’s Inn of Olde.. and it turned out to be one of our favorite memories... Linda is salt of the earth, she had us in stitches and just such a wonderful kind lady...The bar is as described and you won’t find another like it .. authentic NewFoundland full of surprises.. If you want perfection don’t go there, if you want a really fun loving experience dont miss it!!

No words could possibly describe this place properly. If you want to experience the soul of Newfoundland go to this place and have a drink with the owner. It is an experience you will remember fondly for the rest of your life!

After being recommended to go there (specifically saying "don't Google it, just go") we went after drinks at the QV Brewery. Linda is hilarious, outgoing and loves to chat. If visiting from out of town, bring a souvenir spoon to add to her collection!

We stopped in at this pub for a quick drink. The place is covered in knick-knacks and memorabilia which makes it slightly overwhelming and incredibly charming. Linda, the owner was super friendly and told us a little bit about some of her collection. Definitely worth a visit!

The walls are plastered with every nick nack imaginable, the floor is on a bit of a slant, the world's largest collection of souvenir spoons adorn the back wall of the bar, plastic table cloths, piano and guitar waiting a musician - what more could you ask for. Linda has been in business for 40 years. It has to be the tackiest, most wonderful, museum of everything I have ever visited. Cold beer, wood stove cracking back, and a treasure trove. A MUST visit in Quidi Vidi, St. John's.

If you are expecting a "normal" type of establishment, this is not for you. Owner lives on site and you are basically in the front part of her house. Lots of kitsch and memorabilia which seems to have be inserted with no formal plan. Floors are not level and you wonder how the place is still here. Very unique character type establishment. limited menu options and we only had drinks there. If you are in the area, it is a must see or stop and if you proceed with an open mind, you will enjoy your visit. The ladies in the group suggested that the washroom was quite the experience. Not your typical antiseptic chain style restaurant.

Quirky and unique place. Small menu - seafood chowder, chili, and turkey soup - but delicious. Lots of tchotchkes and memorabilia to take look at. Is literally attached to her living room.
