I went with my 3 yr. old grand daughter. There is so much to see, read , watch and listen. Unfortunately a three year old wants to go to the play room and play with the blocks and go down the slide. She did have to go through some molten lava ,a giant centipede and T-Rex to get there. When she... More

This is wonderful spot to visit if you are a rockhound. Built in an old quarry, the Johnson Geo Centre takes you on a tour of Newfoundland and Labrador"s geology. Nicely laid out, lots of samples with explanations and locations. Aimed at kids but the whole family will enjoy. There are a few other displays inside the building that don't... More

Spent 5 of the 2 hours we intended in this fascinating science centre. Extremely well organized and well presented, it was fascinating to learn not just about the geology of Newfoundland and Labrador, but how it connects to the larger worlds and its history. I learned how Lloyds of different rocks were formed. So many samples to examine and touch!... More

It was empty when we arrived and never really got busy. We flew though the entire thing in 3 hours while stopping for a snack that we brought with us. Be prepared to read a lot!

Thank you for taking the time to review our site! Yes, unfortunately the centre is much slower in the winter, however does pick up in the summer. Next time you visit, be sure to take in a movie! If you come back during the summer months, you can take in one of our many talks or tours, they are very... More

interesting place . Can get picture on statue of Newfoundland dog. Outside is big chunks of rocks all different kinds. Downstairs the GEO centre is a movie and story boards for kids to be interactive. I have never been downstairs.

We went not knowing what it would be like and loved it. Some fun family or even adult things to see and do. Lots of fun things. Place to eat, nothing special but snacks and drinks. Nice gift shop. Great family day.

After visiting Signal Hill this was a great stop. The centre's size is is deceiving as most is underground. We have a membership at another science centre so access was free. Definitely worth the trip.

Thank you for your positive feedback. Yes, the centre certainly does seem deceiving...we always say we are like an iceberg (only 10% of the building can be seen above ground). And we are very glad you availed of our CASC/ASTC Museum and Science Centre reciprocal agreement benefits! Hope you will visit us again soon! More

We were pressed for time and had maybe two hours to spend with our two year old grandson, before catching a flight home. This seemed like a nice place to spend some indoor time with him and our daughter and son in law. It was pretty reasonably priced. My daughter is a MUN student so she was free, the grandson... More
