It was fun standing on the most easterly part of Canada and they day after we were there Ryan arrived after a cross county bike tour (we met his family waiting for him). We had a sunny day that helped with the viewing.

You have to see this place. Ocean. Cannons. Lighthouse. Truly a sight. Eastern most point in north America. The salty air is great. The cannons are a wow sight. And that foghorn.

Absolutely loved the view from here. Just breathtaking for a prairie girl like myself! Take all the paths, and do stay behind the fences-that is one mean step to the water!

This is must if you visit St.Johns. Not only is it the most easterly place in Canada, it’s beautiful. If you love the smell of the ocean, a jagged shoreline and fresh open air then you will not be disappointed.

We watched the sun rise at Cape Spear and it is definitely something that should be on your must do list. It did start to get busy by 8:30 and we passed a couple tour buses but prior to that there was only a handful...More

We hiked about 2/3 of the way from the Cape Spear Lighthouse to Maddox Cove. It is not a difficult hike other than a few short ascents - much of it was relatively flat. It was a very foggy day, and quite windy for the...More

It’s worth a stop even for 30 minutes. We were there on a windy day in October. All the buildings were closed for the season, but it was well worth the visit to walk around and watch the waves. There was a lower parking lot... More
