Tourist must to see!

Excellent place to visit, lots of history! Be careful not to go down by the ways, many have drowned! Beautiful spot though, bring a coat!

Looking for something to do in or near St. John's Newfoundland? Take a quick trip to the edge of the continent, especially now that the pack is is ahead of the largest iceberg migration south in recent memory! These majestic pieces of history float by close enough to touch but stand back on the edge of North America and take... More

After a little bit of a hike to get up and beyond the top of the hill, where the other lighthouse is (yes there are 2 on this site) located, you will be rewarded with the beauty of the furthest point east, in the Americas. Some people went only directly to the lower lighthouse but you really should muster the... More

Nice to smell the fresh air and feel the salt water in your pores. It's as Far East as one can go on North America. Always a breeze and always a bit cool and often damp so dress warmly. It's air conditioned here Year round.

There is something about a lighthouse that always works to create a great photograph. The Cape Spear Lighthouse is found at the most easterly point of North America, and worth a visit for just that reason.it is also the oldest lighthouse in Newfoundland and Labrador. The view along the cliffs adds another dimension. A light fog shrouded everything on the... More

Winter is kind of stark, but worth the trip. Incredible views, and if you are lucky, there be whales- humpbacks at play.
