It was an amazing show. Gave us a flavor of NL being our first time in the province. The performers were very professional and talented with great singing voices. Loved the Newfie humor. The ambiance of the theater was intimate and lovely being located in an old church.

Nasheville Nights was the name of the show I saw this past weekend. It was great. First off, the staff at the venue were terrific - so friendly and fun. Second, the performers were very professional. Third, but not least, the dinner was very good. The owner of the B&B I stayed in recommended this place and I recommend it to you. Hope you get a chance to visit.

We noticed this lovely and stately stone building going up the hill from the harbour, and we stopped to take some photos. And then we noted that it included an arts center and theater. So a great use of this old building and it is in the center.

We looked forward so much to this show and we’re so terribly disappointed. I have been to numerous shows, and they were phenomenal. We saw none of the culture of NL reflected in this show. The music was much too loud; the ‘jokes’ were corny; the venue was poor and way too warm. The dinner was somewhat ok. Despite the dessert being very warm, instead of cool. It appeared disorganized. The staff seemed to be struggling with difficult circumstances, which resulted in them appearing artificial instead of the genuine NL hospitality. We came away feeling like we had paid way too much for middle of the road performance and dinner. The theatres in Cow Head and Trinity were worth twice the price, and yet we’re 1/2 the price. We left at the intermission feeling very sad.

The Spirit of Newfoundland adaptation of any play is always hilarious and well worth the time and ticket price, but after a long Covid imposed hiatus this show hit the mark. From start to finish with the beautifully decorated historic Masonic lodge, the very tasty meal and decadent desert, to the incredibly talented cast, this is an event not to be missed. The service, venue, food, and talent were absolutely awesome and accurately captured the spirit of Newfoundland. Masks and lots of space between tables ensured that audience participation was still encouraged. A great evening out. Don’t miss it!

We had the great pleasure this evening of attending the dinner performance of “ABBA” by the Spirit of Newfoundland in the historical Masonic Building. What an amazing performance. The members of the cast are highly talented and experienced professionals. The whole room was enthralled by their renditions of ABBA’s greatest hits while anecdotes of the band’s history were delivered with well-timed Newfoundland humour. The meal was delicious, which is often not the case when catering to a group. I can’t recommend this activity enough!

Wow, wow, wow. First night of arrival and what to do? Buy tickets to a show through Spirit of Newfoundland and get screeched in afterwards.

NO REGRETS WHAT SO EVER!

The meal, the entertainment, the ambiance, the kindness of the staff - remarkable and beyond words.

Being screeched in by Peter, cannot say enough how fortunate we were to “fall into” the Spirt of Newfoundland. Peter was so confident and quite the presenter of “why” and “early beginnings” of the history of screech and being screeched in. We were enthralled with hearing the history. Peter is the pinnacle if you would like to be screeched in.

We want to do it again, just for his presence, his embracing nature.

Don’t miss a show or this opportunity to be screeched in with the Cadillac of inductors!

High marks for such a beautiful building and for the concept of providing live entertainment and 'screeching in' ceremonies. However, we went to get screeched in at the daily ceremony only to find Sundays - they are not available. Would have loved to support local theatre, etc. but again, in May, there was nothing available. Hopefully, they will consider expanding their shows to May.

Hillary was awesome and did a great screeching in! Lots of history and information, a smooch with Rodney and a healthy shot of screech. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to be an honorary Newfoundlander!
