It’s a nice area within city limits, but far enough away that you can’t do much without a car Terrific WiFi in loop 4, but no WiFi elsewhere. Really nice staff, but so few of them that I couldn’t get through on the phone and had to drive over to registration. Rangers? What rangers? The “general store” only sells snacks and soda… not camper necessities like toilet paper, propane bottles, batteries, etc A prime example of how government beaurocracy can goof up a good idea

Long Pond Trail was my main focus. I, along with several other visitors (who seemed to be locals), was disappointed that the Fluvarium was closed. I was, however, not disappointed at either the trail, or the small, but lovely community garden and sound garden at Elaine Dobbin Centre for Autism, just west of Pippy Park. I would, on future visits, be likely to camp in the park. The atmosphere is very tranquil.

Location is the highlight to this campground. We used it as a base for our day trips around St Johns. To be honest we only got there late and slept. The lots are very private, trees everywhere. You can barely see your neighbors. It's a very short drive to the town of St johns and everything in the area.
