I would like to say thank you very much to the staff at Pippy Park camp grounds for being so courteous with me this morning, this is only my 2nd time camping with our camper and they were so very helpful in getting me set up in a campsite that would allow me to easily back into. I will definately be going back to this park, even if it were just for the customer service :) Also serviced lots for $45.20, taxes included, very decent considering you water and sewer in your site. Once in the park, you would think you were hundreds of miles out of town.
Thank you

I LOVE Pippy Park. The campsites are beautiful with tall trees and just the right amount of grass. Best of all, you have privacy. The people were really friendly. The employees and campers! everyone will say hello which is really welcoming. I will definitely return to Pippy Park:)

I was almost afraid to stay here because of all the horrible reviews. I'm not sure if the campground has improved OR all the previous bad reviews were written by cranky old people! But this campground was GREAT! Yes, Loop 4 is basically a big field surrounded by trees...BUT it has WiFi and the sites are fairly level and adequately spaced. The other loops seem to offer more private or secluded, heavily treed sites...but no WiFi (& probably lots of bugs). I didn't use the bathrooms or shower as I had my MH, but I DID use the laundry, and it was spotless! The staff is very helpful and accommodating.
The location is great...truly minutes from TCH 1, Signal Hill, Geo Center, shops & restaurants of Water & Ducktown Streests and the bars on George St.. St. John's has a massive trail system and many of them can be reached by foot or bike from the campground. Grocery Stores, Costco, Walmart, Drug Stores are all minutes away. All in all, I loved it and could have stayed a bit longer than my 5 nights. As for the price--yes it is more expensive than some of the others ... But those cheaper campgrounds are fairly far from the city. If you want an urban camping experience close to the wonderful spots in St. John's, Pippy Park is the place to camp. And, if you want WiFi, pay a bit more for Loop 4!

If your a resident of St. John's NL or travelling through by camper then Pippy Park is the perfect place to kick back for a night at reasonable expense. The park is mostly utilized for skiing and snowshoeing in the winter but come the spring it has many camp sites, plus an overflow area for large RV's.

Hello:
If you are RVing on the Avalon and are looking for a home port ,you can't go wrong with Pippy Park.
It is located in a beautiful Park setting on the edge of the City of St. John's. The Park/site itself is beautiful and you'll find yourself within striking distance of everything.
So if your in the area; and if your vacationing in Newfoundland you will be, drop by.
You won't be disappointed.
Take a minute and "ENJOY"!! a moment of quiet in the Park.

Great campground in the middle of the city with convenient 3 way hookups. Plenty of walking trails and lots of beautiful NL scenery. Be sure to visit the fluvarium just across the street from the campground. The washroom facilities in the campground could use a small upgrade in the near future ..it wouldn't stop me from a future visit all the same.

The camp ground area in Pippy Park is best I have ever experienced in a city, and certainly one of the best for any locale. Place for tents, and RVs and the RV sites are well spaced and surrounded by forest. Excellent shower facilities, clean , well maintained laundry, easy access to downtown St. John's with a $12 taxi ride.

We travel in a class A, 44 foot motor home towing. We had full hookups, plenty of water pressure and 2 TV stations. No cable and our US based satellite dish didn't work. We've found that to be a problem wherever we go up here. The Park is quite lovely. The staff friendly. It's clean and neat. Accessibility is perfect.

Is there a shuttle service or taxi service from pippy park to George Street downtown available?

Hi there! I have a reservation for two nights this coming weekend. My credit card was charged for the first night which was correct but it was also charged an additional 64.00 from provincial parks of Canada. What is that for?
Written June 20, 2016
Hi,
Pippy Park does charge a first night deposit on reservations. However we are not a provincial park so the $64 charge was not from us. I would suggest that you contact Provincial parks of Canada to see what the charge was pertaining to.
Thanks and we look forward to you stay
