About
The home of Artisan Chocolate. Our flagship Chocolaterie can be found downtown in historic St John's, Newfoundland, Canada - North America's most easterly city. With a beautiful sense of nostalgia and European boutiqueness, let us welcome you with delicious chocolate and friendly service. Filled with the aroma of freshly made truffles, a working model train and a selection of the finest chocolate in the world, there is something for the whole family to enjoy. But mind your head, our chocolate literally drips from the ceiling! Don't forget to take a picture of our Mermaid Trinitaria and our beautiful ‘New Founde Chocolate Lande’ mural painted by the Grumpy Goat Gallery, to remind you of your adventures in St John's! Take home true Newfoundland gifts!

We always seek out the chocolate stores when we travel. We got a variety of the chocolates. I would say that they were very average. In particular, we had one truffle that had caramel in and I thought my teeth were going to pull out of my mouth when I tried to bite into it and then chew it up.

I love the hot chocolate but I was at the Christmas parade and I missed 53 minutes waiting for coffee. They are very polite and delicious but they are not well suited for big crowds. When I got my drink it was cold but I understand, they were very busy but still.

Hard to beat chocolate at any time, but then you add some local Newfoundland sayings to the front of the chocolate bars and now you have good food and entertainment. Worth a stop for sure - and a few souvenirs for home!

What a great surprise to find a Newfoundland Chocolate Company store at the recently renovated St. John's Airport departures area. The Latte I had was outstanding, the chocolate a delightful treat, and the staff were friendly and efficient. It's worth arriving early at the airport just to be able to enjoy the browsing of the wares and to enjoy a cup of coffee!

This is a cute little chocolate shop that is perfect to pick up a sweet treat for everyone back at home. The have a great variety of small (albeit pricey) chocolate bars with the cute jellybean houses on the wrapper that are perfect for gift giving. They also have these milk chocolate and salted caramel bars that have extremely funny Newfoundland slang on them.

Who knew? A world-class European chocolate company on Newfoundland! They get their chocolate from a company in Belgium who sources it from fresh local ingredients and African Cocoa. We had hot chocolate and we will be going back for more!

Just like every other chocolate store when you travel. I expected more selection and variety. The ice cream looked good but we were full from lunch. Maybe another day.
