We had such a great time walking to and exploring this little market. Gursha Ethiopian booth was an absolute hit, as was Peacetle smoothies ... I made a suggestion for a smoothie and she loved it so much it's going on her permanent menu. Great experience, great little market.

Not much of a farmers market when we came around lunch time on a Saturday in June.
Outside there were maybe two stands selling plants, one or two with a small assortment of veggies and then indoors food stalls and handcrafted / homemade goods.
It was still worth having lunch and I must say I had the best Shawarma so far!
Be prepared to be entirely undecided food wise because it’s all different and all mouthwatering.

Great ethnic foods, local artists and baked goods. There is a que due to Covid regulations so be patient. Plenty of free parking. Circle twice to make sure you didn't miss anything 💯

We went early afternoon which maybe affected our experience....not much left! It was still worth a wander around to check out the arts and crafts, but any type of seafood or fish to take home was not available. Even the "lunch counters" seemed to offer more ethnic food rather than fish/seafood which we found disappointing. Would suggest going early!

We stopped in at the Farmers' Market for lunch and shopping while on vacation. While there were definitely some traditional farmers' market vendors selling veggies and plants, etc., most of the vendors sold handmade items. There was quite a bit of variety and good prices. There are a few semi-permanent hot food vendors with a wide variety of cuisines--Turkish, Jewish, Indian, etc. I tried some of the Turkish food, and it was delicious. Only one vendor really seemed to sell drinks (which seemed a bit weird?) but a water fountain was available, plus reasonably plentiful seating.

I didn't realize how many people in the area went to the farmers market. I imagined 20 something hipsters or 60 something boomers.
Go early for better parking, not too early or some of the food vendors might not be ready to serve. It's not a big venue but has grown since the last time I visited in 2011.
I recommend any of the food vendors sampled most everything.
The homemade bread is super delicious.
Bring cash as they don't have debit.

A great way to support local producers and try exotic food while sharing with members of your community. The space is very organized and provides several options from food stands, crafts, donating causes and agricultural products to take home instead of the usual not-so-organic grocery shop. Prices are a bit high but fair considering the context and purpose.

I was a bit underwhelmed with the market. It was about a 30 minute walk from the downtown area and was packed. There were perhaps 20 vendors inside, local craft type things, some of them were lovely and fair prices. It was a bit early in the season for produce but there were some booths outdoors and a couple inside. The food area was interesting, lots of ethnic food (Jamaican, Indian, Syrian, Ethiopian, Jewish). I had the Jamaican and it was very good. The market is small and even with sitting and eating I was out of there in well under an hour. If it’s convenient, for sure go, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

We heard so much about this marketplace that it was a must for us to visit, but we didn’t buy anything because everything was very expensive, still it was an attraction that I’m glad we visited

A must see community gathering in St. John's. The variety of food vendors is a welcome respite from fish and chips. Lovely crafts

Hi. I am flying into St. John on a Saturday and hopefully will make the farm market b fore it closes. If I don't make it, any recommendations on the best source fr produce and quality groceries St. John's? I read that the Sobeys in Paradise was the best in St. John's. What about Lester's farm market! Thanks.
