This monument is tucked away in a small corner by the harbour. I walked from our b&b, which was on Gower St. about 10 minutes. I have honoured Terry Fox yearly by teaching my grade one students about his courage and legacy. It was wonderful to see this lovely tribute to an inspiring person. It is a very satisfactory memorial, containing history and a statue of Terry. I would recommend it as a place to go and count your blessings.

We saw this monument as we were wandering around town. It can be found at one end of the busy Water Street. And Water Street is where you will likely spend time as it is now largely pedestrian and there are a lot of activities along it.

I had no idea this statue was here until my friend and I looked up places to visit in St John's. It's a beautiful statue with some placards with interesting facts on them, but like a few others noted, the location isn't idea. Yes, it's the place where he started his run so you can't really change that, but there is minimal parking and very easily missed!
Overall, I'd recommend it to everyone passing through.

What a beautiful and moving tribute to such a great person! The place where he started his journey with a goal to cross all of Canada, you can't help but be moved. Very well done job of honouring one of our heroes. A little tucked away, but well worth finding.

This was such a touching monument. It made you stop and consider how much this young man gave to his country. It is not an easy place to find, the monument is hidden behind some Office Buildings. The only thing that I would have liked to been able to do would be to put my toes in the water like he did.

This is the first time we have visited the Terry Fox Monument! Friends had disembarked from a cruise and this was their one request! The Monument and park around it is well worth visiting! It preserves the man and the cause in good taste!

A small but inspiring tribute to Terry and the enormous contribution he made, and continues to make, to Cancer research. The monument is tucked away in a corner of St. John's harbour, and in addition to inspiring memories of Terry it provides a good view of the harbour entrance and associated marine traffic. Parking is limited, but it can also be reached on foot from downtown. The small park area associated with the monument is pleasant and provides opportunities for quiet reflection.

It is hard to believe that Terry started his run from this point in St John’s. We meet Terry in Nova Scotia that year. An amazing man on a mission. Great person who still today raises money after his death. Thank you

St. John’s has a beautiful monument of the late Terry Fox. Upon arrival it was a tad hard to find as it is located behind the parking lot of a building. The monument has great facts about Terry Fox and his journey. There is a bench where you can sit as well

This park and statue is tucked away in a tiny corner by the water. But it is worth seeking out. The display is a very good memorial for a true Canadian hero. His story and legacy are amazing and inspirational.
