Such a unique and beautiful, serene little inlet! A sight that must be seen to appreciate the beauty....yet remember how harsh that ocean is just beyond this inlet...the boats are too small for this girl to venture out.
What a beautiful place to go for a walk !Scenic fishing village with amazing restaurant and brewer pub.Be sure to check out Mallard cottage a very historic building housing one of Newfoundland’s finest restaurants!
It was ok but I’m from NB and are more familiar with what a fishing village looks like. It’s just that I was not inspired. It was slightly representative of a typical small village. I must admit I was there in October so things weren’t...More
Quidi Vidi is a short drive from central St. John's but feels a million miles away. The tiny harbour is surrounded by a mix of old fishing huts and million dollar homes. Drop by the Quidi Vidi Brewery, have a meal at the amazing Mallard...More
I went here while in St John's for a few days on business as it was recommended. Although it's only minutes from downtown St John's, I had a hard time finding it because to get to it you basically drive through a subdivision and I...More

What a terrific time we had. The beer was delicious, the view fantastic and the music great for dancing. We had a blast and the trip was worth it just for this special place. The people were friendly and fun. Wish we could go again.

QV is a small village within St. John's. If your staying in the downtown area a cab ride will not cost u much at all, maybe 10$. If your more adventurous u can walk from downtown, probably looking at 30-40min depending on pace. All of these areas are safe so there's no issue there.
I u really want to enjoy QV make a resvervatiin at mallard cottage. They are one of Canada's top 100 restaurants, specializing in local cuisine. High end food but more casual atmosphere. But u need a resv.
Also QV brewery does tours. If you in the area on a Friday they usually have a kitchen party, no cover cost, pints 5$ and live local music. Usually starts st 5pm.
