I have been to Yellowknife many times and I usually make time to visit the Legislative Building as part of my walk around the lake. First time is best to take a tour which are FREE.

I found the museum next door so so. But the Legislative Assembly Building is over the top. Lots of history and interesting artifacts. Very good tour guide. Very interesting design.

Interesting building and I found it interesting because of the symbolism of how the building was planned in a drum like shape, taking into consideration the environment, light and materials. Lovely building and interesting displays

We toured on Labour Day and there was no fee. There is no fee for the tour on any day. It was very interesting and well worth the tour.
