This place is a pristine, hidden jewel in Nova Scotia. If you want to spend the day alone on a beach, with soft sand stretching in each direction, no one to bother you and just the sound of the waves lapping the beach to keep...More

Sometimes you forget what beauty is sooo close to home. I sat on this beach with friends for an afternoon in July. It is so peaceful, so clean and just what the Dr. would order for your health. This beach is not at all crowded,...More

It was lovely to take time off from a very busy schedule touring the Maritime Provinces. There were few people enjoying this magnificent beach and wandering along in the sunshine with just the gulls and the lapping waves for company was a perfect break. This...More

A lovely beach on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Best to visit at low tide. You can walk for miles. Watch out for the plovers!

Big and clean..... The sand is excellent for walking. There were 4 other groups on this beach but t we could hardly see them because there is so much wide open space. This beach compares to some of Australia's best!

The parking is somewhat limited and when the tide is out, it's a long walk to get to the water. Unfortunately for me and family members, the fog was so thick, we couldn't see the water.

we went here on a beautiful afternoon and found such peace and quiet. There were maybe 10 other people along a 1-2 mile beach. You could walk and explore all the area without worrying about your personal belongings and others interrupting your space.

Such a huge beach. Usually deserted. A short 15 minute drive from Shelburne or 10 minutes from Exit 27 on the 103 highway. The water is cold (it IS the Atlantic Ocean) but there is a channel to wade in that is fresh/salt water mix....More

This beach is so long and beautiful, with white sand throughout. There were maybe a dozen others on the beach when we visited, but it's so spacious, that we basically had complete privacy. Great for building castles if the sand is a little wet. You...More
