We loved the property and some of the wines were good. There is a restaurant that you should make a reservation for beforehand. While we were there on a Wednesday afternoon, people who had not reserved were being turned away. The lady at the tasting area was really nice and we tried their Champlain Brut while standing there (excellent quality!) and got a premium tasting flight at a table outside. The showroom/tasting area is really nicely decorated and there are some really nice treats and snacks that you can buy there. We liked the flight OK, but in the end our favourites that we took home with us were the Champlain rut and the Pomme d'Or Apple Cream Liqueur (tastes a bit like eggnog). This is a pretty high quality winery that is definitely a step above most others, bith in the quality of the wines and the staff and general ambiance.

Of the numerous wineries of the area our B&B host suggested this is the one to go to if you can only see one. Boy were they right! Tastefully set among grape vines, this winery is both modern and high end while very pleasantly unassuming and not pompous. The tasting is offered as self guided or with a presenter. Since we had our dog with us we were seated outside on a beautiful deck, with a breeze, shade and amongst luscious greenery. The self presentation and tasting is done in a very stylish way and we only wish other wineries followed suit: We received flights of reds and whites in a beautifully designed wine glass holder (see pics) along with a tasting notes for each wine, and the recommended order to be tasted. We were able to go through them leisurely with no pressure and ended up buying three bottles that we liked the most! Following the tasting we continued with a self guided walk through their vineyards which ended in a spectacular overlook of the Grand Pre area, The whole experience was perfect, from the setting, the service, and the walk. Absolutely a must if you visit the area even for a brief time.

Oh my gosh, what an amazing visit! The staff are so gracious and customer service focused. It is obvious each and every person is there to pamper you and treat you with the utmost respect and service. I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with so many kind and genuine people in the true old fashioned Nova Scotian tradition. We stayed at the Inn and my wife and I loved the spa like bathroom in our suite. The food was beyond excellent and our four course meal had us savour every morsel. Janice, the head waitress, knows how to ensure guests are given the best of the best of the best service. She, and all her staff were exceptional. If the goal is to create return customers, then job well done. We are sure to be back! Thanks heaps!
