Great For Viewing the Tides

Literally stumbled on tis railway. We arrived at low tide and walked the trial a bit. Went to lunch at the Lightfoot Vineyard (make reservations) and then came back for high tide. AMAZING!

Great way to spend the day. The walk from Wolfville to Grand Pre was so beautiful. The trail was well maintained and easy to access. We will be back for another stroll soon!!

Oasis of peace

We have bicycled this trail from wolfville to New Minas, the last bit near New Minas is paved! The rest is fine gravel and well maintained. Easy to bicycle. It is perfectly isolated from the main road, as you ride through forest, field, and orchard you forget that civilization is only a few hundred meters away.

Walked on this trail today in Wolfville NS. This seems to be an old railbed of some sort. It is very well maimtained and clean.

Highly recommended!

Harvest Moon Trail

We've cycled all sections of trail with exception of the portion from Bridgetown to Lawrencetown. The section from Berwick to Lawrencetown is not suitable for cycling, it varies between deep sand and bone jarring ruts which make for a very unpleasant experience. The trail from Gran Pre to Berwick however is in good condition with nice views and tree lined areas which provides great shade on hot days.

Flat Easy Ride

I biked from Wolfville to Grand Pre (8km round trip). Trail is in excellent condition. I notice many folks leaving the trail to bike around the dikes and farm land. Might try that next time :)

A sweet walk near the bay
Jun. 2018 • Friends
This is an easy, flat walk with intermittent views of the Bay of Fundy, interspersed with public art installations, and signs with history of the area and natural history. Lots of wildflowers in spring and summer.

Beautiful views with lots of history

The Harvest Moon Trail is long and built on the bones of a railroad, so it's flat with very little grade. Two highlights are the statues: one in town in Wolfville of the gentleman engineer that built the railroad (I had not appreciated how difficult it would be to build a railroad on mud that shifts with every storm) and two, in Eaves Hollow, regarding the gentleman that invented new ways of maintaining apple freshness over long distance shipping, at a time when Eastern Canada supplied most of England's apples. Both statues are more than just pieces of metal, people tend to interact with them and there is more information on them than a typical historic marker.
