This was without a doubt the nicest vineyard we visited on our recent trip to the Annapolis Valley. The wines are all of good quality. The tasting room is in an old house, which is nicely preserved. I found it the most accessible of any wineries in the neighborhood. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed sampling their wine and were delighted there was no tasting fee! The staff was very personable. Our favorite wines were the rosé, Marquette, Chardonnay and Sauvage. The prices for bottles were a bit higher than average.

Very good stop.
They sell flights of their wines so it’s great to try a variety of offerings. The soft spoken blonde girl, was a doll ! Gorgeous property, a must visit for sure.

My wife and I sipped some great Tidal Bay and dessert wines. And enjoyed the view from the upper deck.
We met and had a nice chat with Rachel, which confirmed our thinking (after 9 days in Nova Scotia) … the residents of this beautiful spot are some of the friendliest and happiest people on the planet.
A great place to enjoy fine wine and meet nice people.

This was the second vineyard that we visited on our bus tour. We sampled two wines and had a very tiny food pairing. Afterwards we found fresh baguettes and cream cheese in the shop and enjoyed that with a glass of rose on the veranda. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I loved everything about this place! From the welcoming entrance to the interior design, from the informative, friendly staff to their amazing Tidal Bay wine, from the upper deck overlooking the beautiful terrain to the relaxed seating, every detail is clearly important to the owners. Although I live in Prince Edward County wine country in Ontario, I didn't know about tidal bay wines, but the staff person filled me in. We had time to visit only two wineries -- we chose this one and a larger one down the road. Mercator was a highlight of our East Coast experience!

We visited here mid week one afternoon. It was not busy. Unfortunately, due to the big weekend they had run out of food offerings. The server was very apologetic. She was quite knowledgeable about the products and friendly. We decided to try a glass of wine and sit out on the back patio. There were only two other couples there at the time so it was not busy. The wine was delicious and it was quite enjoyable just to sit outside and enjoy the view.
Will definitely be going back...hopefully they will have edibles this time too.

The Compass Rose was delicious on a hot summer day. The seating they offer is probably the best in the valley. The staff were great and the wine was yummy.

The showroom is beautiful, staff was kind and friendly. We tasted four wines with bread, cheese, olives and almonds. It was an amazing collection and we fell in love with the Marquette. We could take a short walk in the winery. Totally worth it, the view is amazing.

The winery is housed in a beautiful old house that is perfect for the atmosphere. Our tasting paired with cheese, bread and olives was like sitting around with family and friends. Our knowledgeable server casually walked us through the experience. Very enjoyable time.
