    Tasting and lunch
We finished our holiday in Nova Scotia with a tasting and lunch at Luckett's, after checking out of our holiday rental and heading off to the airport. The weather was great, which only added to the atmosphere. The restaurant overlooking the vines, with views beyond to the bay, is an amazing place for a relaxing lunch. The tasting at the bar was informal, less structured (and cheaper) than at other wineries in the area - we weren't provided with tasting notes or guidance. However, it was fun and pointed us to each try a different wine (by the glass) with our lunch, The food was excellent and probably the only restaurant we experienced all holiday that didn't confuse quantity with quality! A stroll through the vines after lunch, photos at the iconic red phone box was a great way to finish our holiday. Excellent value, I thoroughly recommend a visit!
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us. Hope we'll have the opportunity to host you again sometime!

    Beauty at Luckett Winery
Firstly, the view here is beautiful. Seated in the indoor restaurant with the large door/windows wide open was like being outside. The whole restaurant overlooks the vineyard (and the famous British red phone box) as it slopes down towards the sea, and the farms in between. At the table, my party found the server very practiced and amicable. She suggested we do a wine tasting in the adjoining tasting room while we waited for our orders to arrive. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations based on a few personalized questions. Back in the dining room we enjoyed top-notch, fresh local mussels, and the suggested wine pairings were excellent. After a day of winery visits, Luckett’s Tidal Bay white (a regional blend) was our favourite from the district. Also highly recommend taking home some of the winery’s spritzers as a patio drink this summer.

    Amazing experience.
Came here on a wine tour. Our wine bar tender was fantastic. Charming, charismatic and well informed. The store was amazing in design- it looked like a candy store but for wine. The tasting bar is also quite classy. We had lunch here as well. I had the beef sandwich and house salad. It was such a delicious and filling meal. I quite enjoyed their fizz and tidal bay. Delicious!! The scenery is very nice you can see the bay past the vineyard and the restaurant location allows you to see just that! And can’t forget the infamous phone booth!
Thank you for your awesome review! We're glad you had a great time :)

Enjoyed wine tasting and food at Lucketts. I was impressed with unoaked Chardonnay. I bought a bottle. They have many local items in their shop. A very nice shop.
Food was good. I had a chicken sandwich with a seafood chowder. Seafood chowder ingredients was great. White sangria is extremely good.
We took lots of pictures in the vineyard. Very beautiful

Stopped in while we were in the valley and had lunch. The Chicken Leek pie was great, as was the chowder. I was super impressed with the speedy service!

Luckett is one of the largest winery and tasting rooms in Nova Scotia. We were there on a cloudy day and unable to appreciate the views of the vineyards. Their wines are a bit more sophisticated than some of the others. We tried in the area. The tasting fees and bottle prices are a bit higher than average, though not unreasonable. We especially liked and purchased the barrel fermented Chardonnay, Grape Thief White and Old Bill. They seem to have some thing for everyone. The facility its self is impressive with plenty of seating or tasting at a service bar. It is also very clean with large restrooms.

Beautiful location in the Gaspereau Valley a short drive from Wolfville. The food was fabulous. We had the chowder and was told they have won “best chowder” for the past several years. We sampled the rosé and ended up taking two bottles home it was so good. The phone booth is a fun addition - a rotary phone where you can make a free call to anywhere in North America. Wine shop is well stocked with fun goodies. Likely the best restaurant we went while in the Wolfville area.

I was amazed by the views and excited about my lunch. I was however disappointed when I got my lunch. It was described as a panini but was just a large burger bun and was not grilled on the top ...so how was it a panini? There were a lot of soft mushy foods inside which turned the whole thing into a gooey mess. The salad was described as a kale ceaser but had very little dressing and the kale just not ok. ( needs to be massaged to get softer) I did like the wine but found out when leaving that I paid $15 more to have it at the table than it was sold for in the store a few feet away. The service was fine views amazing food not so much! Would not go back.

A must visit in the valley, Luckett's has to be one of my favourite wineries to visit when in Wolfville. Just a short drive away from Halifax, it is perched at the top of a hill over looking the beautiful vineyard accompanied by an incomparable view of the Bay of Fundy. The food is always amazing, the service warm and friendly, and the atmosphere casual and welcoming - a fantastic spot to stop for lunch. If the title of this review didn't give it away, do yourself a favour and get the olives!!! You'll be converted for life!

What a beautiful place to have lunch with the people you love! The vineyard restaurant exceeded our expectations at every turn. The wine was phenomenal and our server recommend the perfect food pairings. The service was really top notch, everyone was friendly, helpful and very accommodating.

I would highly recommend visiting Luckett Vineyards to anyone visiting Wolfville, such a welcoming and wonderful experience.

My partner and I attended a work function here and we were very disappointed by the atmosphere, the food, and the service provided to some of our co-workers. The way the staff handled a shortage of food issue was questionable as I’m sure if a health inspector was present they very well would have made several violations. Their solution to the food shortage was to take food, part of which, was already eaten from at another table, to place the remaining food at the table that was not yet served. We are still in Covid times people! This speaks volumes to the hygiene practices of the restaurant. 🤢 Also, there was a comment made by a server that was racist in nature and therefore very offensive. I will NEVER go back here again, nor will I be recommending it to anyone I know and like. A complaint was made and management refuses to take any type of responsibility or to attempt to repair the harm they caused. To me, some of their staff are in desperate need of anti-racist education. The only conclusion I can come to after reading other posts on this app, is that the server must be related to the owner because racist, and homophobic, transphobic comments should not be ignored. The fact that these comments are not addressed tells me all I need to know about this business.

My classmates and I had a reunion at Halifax. We went to Luckett Vineyards for lunch. The place was spacious and had an amazing view of the valley.

Lunch for me was simple. I had the beautiful and fresh kale salad which had thick bacon bits, fresh cranberries, sweet potatoes and Brussel sprouts. It was a large serving. To go with it was a yummy seafood soup. I also got to taste the best-ever crispy cauliflower.

A memorable experience, indeed, shared with good friends in a beautiful setting.
