We were lucky enough to be in Wolfville on a Wednesday. The Market is normally open only on Saturdays, but from May through December it also operates from 4:00-7:00 for a Community Supper event. There were numerous food vendors and everything looked so tasty that it was difficult to choose what to get. We ended up with a huge samosa and a German sausage and potato cake, but I don’t think we could have made a bad decision. There were several craft vendors in attendance, as well.

You can’t beat this for a delicious, economical meal, and the lively atmosphere enhances the experience, too.

$10 for salad, bread and $10 worth of market coupons to use at any of the stalls who have awesome meals. Loved the atmosphere and community feel.

The market is fantastic for fresh produce, meat, and bakery items. It can be crowded on a Saturday morning. Some customers were rude when we asked politely to move by, they were blocking the entire aisle. Definitely not wheelchair/scooter/stroller friendly because of people congregating and socializing in the middle of walkways.

About a month before our visit to Wolfville I signed up for the Farmers Markets online newsletter. I’m so glad I did! They have a very well organized and extremely informative site. I learned so much about their vendors that when we actually met them I knew a lot already. We loved the variety of fresh foods, prepared foods handmade items they have to offer. The people were so friendly and welcoming! I can’t wait to go back again someday.

This little town market has it all. Fresh produce, seafood and meats. If you are hungry, there are several vendors that can tempt your appetite with a variety of offerings, from donuts, cakes and cookies to sandwiches, and even curry. There are lots of local crafters to browse including jams, jellies, wines, hot sauces and even local grown flowers to brighten your home. Glad we had the opportunity to wander through, while on our short stay.

Whether you come for Wednesday dinners or for Saturday market shopping, you won't be disappointed. On Wednesdays, pay $10 for 20 market dollars and grab a plate with bread and salad before buying your meal from one of the vendors. There is so much to choose from, including gelato, fresh lemonade, fresh produce and dishes from across the globe. Music will be playing and there are often theme nights. On Saturdays, buy your food, produce and delicious pastries, coffee and more. Often, there are crafts, jams and more. Love Wolfville's market and wish it was in my hometown! This is an experience and the way to see the Valley in its abundance.

Don't miss this authentic farmers market on Saturday morning. In addition to local produce, meats and fish, sample the variety of delicious baked goods, chocolates, and breakfast/lunch meals prepared hot and fresh before your eyes. There are also several vendors selling local products from wines to jewellery to soaps to candles to knitted goods. So be sure to pick up something unique as a memento of your trip to this lovely town and area.
