One of the earliest church buildings in Nova Scotia. An excellent example of early Presbyterian Church architecture, which had been served by Covenanter ministers for most of the 19th Century.

There are very few active churches like this any more. Its a unique environment with very uncomfortable pews to remind you that this is a Scottish Presbyterian space and therefor not to be overly enjoyed!

We made just a 15 minute stop at this church but enjoyed seeing its interior and also wandering the graveyard a bit. It was built in the New England meetinghouse style.

This is a beautiful church in a rural setting. It is the oldest Presbyterian Church in Canada. Take time to read the notices posted in various locations in the church and you will realize that this is still an active congregation.

Beautiful historic church close to the Grande Pre Historic Site. Most amazing time to visit is Christmas Eve. They also have special cultural events during the spring, summer and fall seasons.

This church is well worth visiting. It is a very serene quiet place of contemplation. The pulpit is very high, so the minister can see both the balcony and below.

We've spent many a Christmas Eve here at the 'midnight' (starts around 11pm) service. Beautiful church, quiet and peaceful. The highlight of the Christmas Eve service for us was always a solo of O Holy Night, sung by Stephen McClare (Canadian Opera Company). I have...More

The drive out to the church is so lovely, and the building has great character. Would be made better by taking in a service at the church, to really get a sense of the place.
