Our guide Alan Melanson made this a truly fascinating experience. He cleverly gave us in 90 minutes a history of Annapolis Royal using grave headstones as "chapter headings". He is a natural raconteur and quite clearly is in love with his subject. Not to be...More

This is a wonderful way to learn about the history of the area. Alan Melanson does a great job and is clearly passionate about his subject and his Acadian heritage. Also it is not scary despite being in a graveyard!

Excellent guided tour of Nova Scotia's oldest graveyard by Alan Melanson, a descendant of the Acadian settlers. The tour focused on the stories of several gravestones, which served as a jumping off point to other historical moments for Annapolis Royal. Highly recommend!
