We were fortunate to have perfect weather for our hike. The views were just spectacular throughout the 3-4 hours that we spent hiking the entire loop of about 5 and a half miles. Not a difficult hike for sure but so much to look at...More

This is actually a great hike with beautiful scenery and trees along the way. When you get to the end, about an hour, it will be cloudy. Don't expect it not to be. The land goes off in a cliff with the ocean on either...More

There are beautiful views on this hike, worth the walk. Really a must do event in the Cape Breton Highlands. We took the "short" (7km) route with two 6 Year olds and it took 2 hours. The Trail is super easy for the first 6k...More

I thoroughly enjoyed the views once you reach the end of the trail. I had a nice clear day and you can see for miles. I had bounded down the stairs not realizing how far down I was going so the journey back up was...More

If you onlyhave time to do one trail visit the Skyline Trail. At the fork, take a left and go straight to the boardwalk for a breathless view. If you have more energy, go beyond the boardwalk and hike to the point. It is worth...More

The views on the skyline trail are amazing! They are totally worth the hike. There were a lot of families there together. It would be a great place to take a family photo! The trail is clean and easy to hike or even push a...More

Saw a moose grazing along the trail, this made the trip worthwhile! The cascading boardwalk was scenic, but not close enough to the sea to make it spectacular. The 30-45 minute trail to the boardwalk was otherwise non-descript and no ocean views. Would have been...More

Meeting 2 hrs before sunset (pay at the visitor center, about $14) we drove in, passing all the empty parking spots, thrilled to avoid the 100's of people who traipse through here. This place can handle a ridiculous number of cars! Our group, max of...More

It’s within the national park. Driving the Cabot trail clockwise, it’s about 20 minutes past the town of Cheticamp.
