When we arrived with our trailer in the parking lot, we were amazed how much parking was available here. The ones with trailers had to stay at the lowest parking lot. Cars could go and park nearby the trail. Most tourists took the short trail...More

We were a bit concerned when we arrived as there seemed to be a lot of cars in the car park (off season in October). When we got going on the trail it wasn't busy at all as we elected to do the longer loop,...More

My husband & I hiked the Skyline Trail twice during the last week of Sept. It was amazing! It was not a difficult hike/walk so I was happy about that! The weather was spectacular! The only disappointment was that we did not see any moose!...More

Cool temps and bright sunshine found it ideal for hiking the Skyline Trail. Since I was a beginner hiker we decided to take the shorter route to the left. The walk way is level and not bad to walk with a round trip taking 3...More

Beautiful day to hike the Skyline Trail. We opted to do the backleg of the trail instead of the full loop. The terrain seemed smoother and had very few rocks compared to the full loop. Got to the coast and the actual boardwalk on the...More

We had 1/2 day of fog during our recent visit to CBI and as luck would have it, it appeared the day we hiked the Skyline Trail. This is a very easy hike with level ground and boardwalks. Despite the fog & the fact we...More

We did this trail today because of all the hype. The views were very beautiful at boardwalk but there are much better hikes with much better views in Cape Breton. We did the White Point Trail the day before and that hike had a much...More

We booked the guided sunset hike. The Canadian weather meant there was never a glimpse of the sun.... neither did we see any moose. But Scott's insights and banter more than made up for any disappointment we might have felt. And I was touched by...More

TripAdvisor has this trail in the wrong part of Cape Breton. Do not use the TA map to find this trail! It’s an awesome walk, though - be sure to Google it.
