Pretty much everything has been said about the trail itself. Go and enjoy. For us, we were looking forward to seeing moose on our trip. When we set out to return to the trailhead just before sunset there were about 50 people still on the...More

Well groomed and easy walk apart from the steps on the headland. great thing is you don't have to do the stairs if you are not up to it. Fantastic view but don't waste your time doing the long loop unless you believe you will...More

Although there are a ton of great trails in Cape Breton, the Skyline is my favourite. If you are looking for a 2-3 hours hike you will be well served by the Skyline. On my last hike, I even managed to see a moose from...More

The trail was very well groomed and wide enough to walk comfortably on. Not a lot of shade so be sure to bring a hat and water. The end point of the trail had an amazing view out over the water and the highway. This...More

Got there early by chance, and glad I did. The parking lot is on a couple levels and HUGE; one of the end spots probably adds another mile to the hike. I was able to park much closer, and it was therefore less crowded at...More

This hike will take you 2-3 hours to do the full 7.5km loop. The incline isn't very steep, so this would be suitable for beginner hikers. The trail is well maintained. Parking can be difficult in the afternoon, but if you start the trail in...More

The day before we reached Skyline was a full day of rain and my guess is a lot people could not go to this trail. Upon reaching there we felt as if all the visitors to the park had decided to visit that day. Parking...More

We took the path to the left first. You can do the trail in either direction but it's better to go down the left side than back up it!

TripAdvisor has this trail in the wrong part of Cape Breton. Do not use the TA map to find this trail! It’s an awesome walk, though - be sure to Google it.
