It was her first time already and we haven't done much travelling in Canada. I can't say how much we love the Cabot Trail. The views are just breathtaking and well worth the trip. The people out east and the scenery are very nice and we look forward to going back again very soon. Make sure you drive the whole... More

First time visiting this beautiful part of the world. Heard about this trail from someone else on a bike and said it's a must do. So we did it. First off its 120 miles of the most stunningly beautiful coast line and roads you will see. Gas up first before hitting the trail, we didn't see many gas stations but... More

There's not a lot to say about the Cabot Trail that hasn't already been said! Great drive with lots of hills and twists and turns to keep it interesting. There are some great campsites on the way, lots of restaurants, craft shops, artisan workshops, etc. Spectacular views to be found and lots of great hiking and outdoor activities.

I grew up in Nova Scotia. That being said, every time we had visitors' we did the tourist things. As I kid I wasn't impressed. It wasn't until I moved away and come home to visit that I truly appreciate all the beauty Nova Scotia has to offer. The Cabot Trail is beautiful anytime, but the fall is my favorite.... More

Long scenic stretches of the local area. Passes through forest and coast. If you're in the area it's a great little drive with many interesting local shops and eateries

For more than 4 decades I am a "summer settler" of Cape Breton Island and cannot count how many times I have shared this magnificent itinerary with friends from around the world. There are so many "lookout points", short side trips to see water falls, that no matter what the season, nature is endlessly variable and no two trips are... More

We stayed in Baddeck and did the whole drive in one day, including quite a few stops and 2 walks - skyline Walk and Middle Head Walk. Very enjoyable and didn't feel rushed.

Amazing ride with beautiful sights. We went in July but were told the best time to go is in the fall because of the beautiful colours.

We spent several days on Cape Breton. We did the Cabot Trail in sections. To try and do the entire road in a day is an injustice. There are too many things to stop and enjoy. The west side of the Trail offers (in my opinion) the more spectacular views. This side is definitely a mountain road. It is not... More
