Big Spruce Brewing is located off the highway, which is a bit of a trek if you're not headed this way, but is definitely worth the stop! They have a great outdoor taproom with beautiful views and a wide selection of their beers on tap....More

We just made it here before they closed one day and what a treat. We had had the stout around town and it is just incredible, but even if that is not your beer of choice it's worth the visit to taste all the others....More

We were on our way home from a couple days doing the Cabot trail and decided to stop for one beer before heading back to Sydney. We walked into a small shack that had 7-8 tables which were all full along with live music. It...More

We headed down the road on a rainy cool day, just exploring, and found this wonderful stop. We had the flights of craft beer (and found ourselves ordering many of them in other restaurants), and the staff were great to interact with. They supplied heaters...More

I have to say that the Craft beer is great but the recent affiliation with Stephen MacNeil and the present government has really soured my taste for this company's products. Stephen MacNeil has been so bad with support for our teachers and our nurses that...More

Fantastic service at this fabulous brewery. We stopped for a couple of flights (samples) and were pleasantly surprised by the great tasting patio. Great music, games available to play. My biggest disappointment is that it is difficult to purchase many of their beers in the...More

Big Spruce offers a range of exceptionally excellent craft beers. There's a small, screened in tasting porch, and on summer weekends, a delicious food truck and live music that is not deafeningly loud. A wonderful experience.

All beer tastes are different, so as beers go the brew master probably needs some competition to improve. They think there good and they are OK but if you had more choice you probably go somewhere else. They are the big fish in no real...More

Really beautiful area on the top of a hill over looking Bras D'or Lake. The beers were just ok, but the screened in deck and views are amazing. Absolutely worth popping in!!!
