More of a place to pass through than to visit. The only exception is the farmer's market, though there are some decent events from time to time, and one of the better places to be on Canada Day. Probably most people will see it because it is the Dartmouth side of the ferry route.

There is no shortage of Farmer's markets in the Halifax region but my favorite is the Saturday morning market at Alderney Landing. One can find everything and is never disappointed. Within an acceptable time frame, I can easily have all my culinary needs met as well as a nice treat to enjoy during my exploits. The vendors are very friendly... More

Park benches for your lunch break or a friendly chat. You can catch the ferry from here to Halifax. On Saturday and Sunday inside the building, they have a farmers market. Great... More

The market is a great place to visit on the weekend. Check their website for times of operation . Lots of local food and beverage products and local crafts. Have lunch there. It's fun!

Love this landing, they have multiple shops inside, a liquor store & a really good seafood restaurant too. Also they offer a market on Saturday & Sundays which is really good too.

I recently have occaision to be in Alderny Landing on Saturday mornings and have really enjoyed walking through the market, getting a coffee, a breakfast or lunch treat, filling my growler or buying something from the variety of stalls. I am so glad I get to experience this little slice of culture, particularly in the winter

Went to pay at the machine two other customers before me. All having a hard time making a payment. Coin and credit card only. I to get help, you have to run back and put the ticket in the car. We all missed our ferry. Will park at the lot up the street or drive over to Halifax, not convenient... More
