It is a great place to spend the day and sometimes listen to live music from the Band Stand. If you are a model boat lover on the weekend several clubs sail their Boats on the water.

This small ponds ends the shubie canal prior to flowing into the Halifax Harbor. Very nice walk around the monuments the pond and gazebo, great for kids and family, Watch the remote control sailboats on sundays, quite entertaining. You can easily extend your walk in either direction, towards the Harbour or along the lake Banook boardwalk and watch the paddlers from all three canoe clubs, if you are fortunate enough there will be a regatta to watch. there is parking along the street or near senobe acquatic club

Went down to the Pond for a walk today and was watching the geese meander around the park as they do seem to own it. This is a very pretty place to come by regardless of the seasons. Always something different to see. The work on the War Memorial is almost completed and it does get very crowded here for the 11th of November.

Sullivan's Pond is a unique centrally located gathering place for numerous events. Most importantly is the yearly Rememberance Day service, Christmas Tree lighting, Natal Day festivitieis, etc. It is also a place to just go, sit and watch the world pass you by. They have a walking path that is connected to other interesting points - downtown waterfront or Lake Bannok. It is also the only place that I have ever scene where the flock of geese cross the street daily to go for their daytime swim :-)

This is a picturesque lake near downtown Dartmouth. Next to the public gardens this is probably the 2nd most popular spot to get prom & wedding pictures.

Want to get away to a quiet spot to gather your thoughts and watch the ducks swim on the lake. I often go here to clear my mind. Its a gem inside the city of Dartmouth. Beautiful trails to walk and lots of scenery to take in. Great for strollers easy to get around. They have a nice simple play ground for little ones. There are always elderly people in the park as there are alot of them living across the street, they are always up to chat. The pond is beautiful and there are lots of geese who will steal your lunch.

This is a beautiful little pond that was just updated last year with a new bridge and landscape, when the weather is warm you can see the older folks out with their mini sale boats ( remote control ) and they are beautiful, it is also a beautiful place to have wedding or grad pictures taken definitely worth taking a walk around the pond the water works is nice and colorful in the nights and the ducks will come out to say hello

Pond is located not far from Downtown Dartmouth. Lots of parking on bordering street. Beautiful grounds, fountain and ducks and geese.

This little city park features a nice pond. In the summer on weekends you will see RC boats racing around it. There is a band stand that often has musical entertainment. It also seems to be a favourite location for wedding pictures.

HI I am not sure if there is a charge but I would think there wouldn't be as I know there are many couples that go there and have their wedding pictures done there. Also a lot of graduation prom photos are taken there when the kids graduate. If may depend on if your guests are standing up or if you want to put chairs up. The gazebo us really nice but I know there are concerts booked there in the summer. The person who said you should check with the City would also be my first choice.Good luck it is a lovely spot just be careful of the duck and swan poop.

I am a Committee Member for a Craft & Vendors Market & was wondering if you have such events as this.
If so, could you reply with some info. on it.
We are searching for an outside Venue for a Market in the later part ofJune.
Sincerely

The best way to find out an answer to your question would be to contact the City. I do know that on Natal Day weekend which is the first weekend with a Monday in August there is a big celebration in Sullivan's Pond but otherwise I don't recall seeing any other big events there except for Lighting the Christmas Tree in December.
