On the Bay of Fundy side of Sandy Cove, this is one of the few (if not the only) sand beaches on the Fundy shore of this part of Nova Scotia. A half-mile crescent, it affors beautiful sand flats when the tide is fully out, which are great for walking, sand castles, or just playing. Unfortunately, the water is incredibly cold, although brave souls and children do swim in it. The beauty of this beach is in its picturewaue vantage point of now-abandoned fish stores beside the slowly crumbling wharf, the sight of Grand Naman Island on a clear day, the lucky sighting of a whale tolling by in the early evening and the spectacular sunsets. It/s a great spot for a barbeque, or rock hounding on the nearby point. a large rock on the beach, locally called Jerome's rock, is the site of the discovery of the mysterious Jerome in the 18th century, abandoned and propped up against it, with both legs recently, but skilfully amputated. He never spole, and his story has remained a mystery to this day. Sadly, this beach is unprotected, and often has unsightly litter on it.

Stoped by here on the advise of the front desk staff at the Pine resort in Digby.
We are so thankful that we did. Beautiful little beach, a great example of the effect of the tides in The Bay of Fundy. About a 7 minute drive from the main roadway
Not a lot of parking but then there does not seem to be many ppl there.

I was so saddened by the amount of fishing garbage. Ropes, plastic wrap, lines, rubber banding. I wouldn't go back. I wish I lived closer, I would love to encourage and organize a cleanup. Someone should.

The drive along the Digby neck is beautiful and breathtaking! I would highly recommend driving through that area if you have the opportunity......

Nice secluded beach. Lots of sand at low tide. We found some sea glass and seen a seal. Great place to relax and zone out.

Relax on a long quiet beach, possibly spotting porpoises or dolphins, scouring for sea glass and breathing fresh unpolluted (imagine that) air..what a treat

I stopped here hoping to find a place in the area to swim. Well I found the perfect spot. Nice beach, lots of sand, warm water and nice visitors to chat with along the beach

Dirtiest beach I have seen in Nova Scotia by Far. It was covered in fishing garbage. Which is terrible because it has the potential to be a beautiful beach. Very hard to find on top of that. Im not sure it is because of the time of year I visited (Late May) that there was garbage every where. Ropes and glass and line and rubber bands, and I mean it was EVERYWHERE
