We spent 30 minutes chatting with Murray. If it wasn't for the fact that he had a fishing date with his sister, we might have stayed longer. He is such a kind man with a lot of great stories. I highly recommend that you drop in. Maud is definitely looking down and smiling.

Excellent place to visit, especially if you are a Maud Lewis fan. The replica is pretty accurate. We got to see the actual Maud Lewis house at the NS Art Gallery in Halifax, and this one is pretty darn close! No charge but they do accept donations. The man who operates this was very friendly and told us many interesting stories about Maud. A must visit!

We had went by twice on other trips but we went back to check it out. Definitely worth the stop. The owner knew Maud Lewis personally and was a wealth of information. A new perspective on her life

Some guy built a small house in his backyard. If you want to see Maud's house, go to the Art of NS in Halifax. If you want to see where she lived, go to the Maud Lewis memorial park.

Not easy to find with GPS, so prepare to go old school with directions and following addresses until you stumble on it. While this is neither the original house or location, the replica does what it is supposed to do, provide visitors with a glimpse into what life might have been like for Ms and Mr Lewis. You get to go in the house, climb the stairs to the "loft", take fun pics, go to the shed and see a bunch of prints, pick up a couple for $10 each, etc. It's an amusement park for adults who appreciate a great story and lovely art. You're done in 30 minutes, and best of all, no human interaction unless you stumble across other visitors!

The gentleman who built this replica lives onsite and is very helpful with information. Its a free attraction that's worth the visit to see at true tiny house from days gone by!

We were driving by this location and decided to drop in to have a look. We drove in and were greeted by the owner of this replica. He was very informative and answered all our questions. The visit was free with a donation box to show one's appreciation for the effort put into this site. We went away pleased that we stopped by.

very interesting and humbling to see Maud Lewis's house(replica) that she lived a great part of her life in and how she managed to do what she did in her life with all her struggles.

The owner of the property recreated Maud Lewis’s homes. It is an extremely small home. Sparsely furnished as per the original. It is free to visit but there is a donation box. With the original house being moved to Halifax, it is nice to have a replica in the general area of the original.
