We spent a great day with Jeff just before Christmas. He picked us up and we went to Peggy's Cove and visited the Swiss Air Monument. We then drove the scenic route back up to Halifax where he took us downtown and showed us a lot of the history of Halifax, Jeff was a great guide! He can just rhyme off facts out of the blue. He has a great personality, totally easy-going and a sense of humour and we would totally do some exploring with Anchor Tours again. Thanks again Jeff!

Didn’t have enough ghost stories. A lot of the stories were from other people and it was mostly a history lesson.

Sorry, to hear you didn't enjoy the ghost tour. There's no question that a lot of the ghost stories and folklore discussed are of a historical nature. That's the very nature of a ghost tour. Every stop on the tour had an element of paranormal activity, spirit inhabitation, or mysterious circumstances. If we can source new material to add to the tour, we definitely will.

We only had a day to see Nova Scotia beyond Halifax. I definitely did my research on tour companies and Anchor tours had the most reasonable price and timings for a tour of Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove from Halifax. Jeff picked us up right at our hotel, exactly at the time he said he would be there, and filled us in the entire journey on information and stories on Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg and the surrounding areas. He definitely knows his stuff! Would not hesitate to book another tour with Anchor tours the next time I'm on the East Coast, and you shouldn't either!

Locations: We took the Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg Tour. A really beautiful part of the world! Lunenburg is full of authentic colonial era British builds. It's very quaint and idilic, but very hilly, so sturdy footwear is an absolute must. Peggy's Cove and the fishing village around the lighthouse is like something off a postcard. Pure beauty. Tour: Our tour guide Jeff was very pleasant and friendly. He collected us on time from our hotel and we took off without any fuss or faffing around (although as it was end of season we were the only 2 people on this particular outing.) Jeff is very much a person that is part of the area and the touring community. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the sights themselves, he also makes a point of delivering information about the people and the lifestyles of the areas that you're going through or visiting. (After all, what is a place without it's people?) A friendly Nova Scotian tour from a guy who clearly knows and cares about the areas. Thank you Jeff.

We took the Lunenberg-Peggy's Cove Tour and it was absolutely stunning! Jeff was a walking encyclopedia with loads of history, we learned a lot! The group size was small which made for a very comfortable trip and the times given to us to explore each destination was perfect. We will definitely look at another Anchor Tour next time we are in Nova Scotia and will make sure to recommend this to everyone we know coming here! Well worth it!
