We were on the Halifax tour and I took this one because I am a Titanic buff. It was a solemn place and we all viewed it with reverence for those lost on the greatest ocean disaster in history. We saw Jack Dawson's grave and the grave of the baby first pulled from the water (identified in 2012). If the... More

I must adimit I wasn't to sure about going here, not really my thing. However it really was quite moving, whole families gone and some of the victims were so young. The way they have placed the headstones to form the shape of the bow is a really nice touch.

More than 100 years on the fasination with the Titanic continues to grow. You can watch the films read the books but seeing the graves you remember that these were realy people with hopes and dreams for the future. What you will notice with the number of visitors to the site is the silence. Eveyone speaks quitely with respect. Though... More

OK we were tourists when we visited here even though we did so from our cruise ship specifically because of our interest in the Titanic tragedy and we chose this tour rather than the many others on offer because of that interest. This is the cemetery where most of the bodies retrieved from the Titanic area were buried but there... More

A very moving, very quiet visit to the Titanic cemetery. Our guide gave us some unique stories of the families, showed us some of the photos on the gravestones with their stories. A remarkable trip.

After visiting the Titanic museum in Belfast in 2015, this was definitely on our list of must sees while in Halifax. Gotta do you research on this one as it is not easy to locate and be prepared for a walk! Luckily we had the assistance of the local tourist bureau who gave us terrific directions from the cruise ship... More

For the first time visitors to Halifax is not complete unless you visit the historic Fairview Cemetary containing the victims of the Titinac ship reck and if a buff of the movie you will be thrilled by the names on the grave from the movie. James Cameron check out this very site when writing the screen movie,

We particularly went to see the Titanic gravesite. The markers are place in the shape of a ships bow. Very interesting stories behind the numbers and names on the markers. The numbers correspond to the order the victims were pulled from the water. The names were sometimes added on the side as their identities were discovered. Even after all these... More

Has to be seen if you are interested in the Titanic story but sad and very crowded during the summer and cruise ship season. Not the smartest of cemetaries
