This cemetery with the titanic graves were very emotional, they are all numbered and all graves form the bow of the titanic, very sad but very interesting and such a wonderful memorial for these people and their families.

A must for Titanic fans, this has the biggest collection of graves, some of which are still well maintained by those paying their respects. Sombre and interesting at the same time.

Fairview Cemetery is where my family members are buried. My grandparents graves are directly opposite the Titanic victim burials. Aside from visiting my grandparents graves, I always walk through the Titanic graves. It's solemn, quite and reflective.

What more do you need to know.... find the row of titanic victims here. Its near downtown easily accessible by car or bus or maybe $20 cab from cruise ship area.

I have visited before and this time I was taking a new visitor to the Titanic graves. Seeing tourists posing by the headstones once before was a very annoying act on their behalf. It is very moving to walk among the headstones to see real...More

Historical walk through and a Titanic Graveyard. Yes January Dawson grave stone is here but has no association with the movie. Good for a nice side trip.

We were on the Halifax tour and I took this one because I am a Titanic buff. It was a solemn place and we all viewed it with reverence for those lost on the greatest ocean disaster in history. We saw Jack Dawson's grave and...More

I must adimit I wasn't to sure about going here, not really my thing. However it really was quite moving, whole families gone and some of the victims were so young. The way they have placed the headstones to form the shape of the bow...More

I see on the site it says NOT wheelchair accessible. How about someone walking with a cane? In general will they be able to traverse the landscape to get to the Titanic portion of the cemetery, is it close to the roadway?

Fairview Cemetery is a long walk from Halifax's downtown but it is on a bus route - the excellent tourist information centre will be able to help you with that. If you are walking with a cane you shouldn't have too much... More

There are signs to follow to the Titanic section, easy to find and park. Not sure about the explosion?
Arriving by cruise ship in September. Could someone tell me how far this is from the port? Are there buses that bus people to/from? Thank you in advance.
