Rachel took us on a very enjoyable tour of several downtown establishments. The stops were an excellent combination of 'savoury' and 'sweet' plus tea. Very well organized. Rachel is terrific ambassador for Halifax. Definitely don't bother with any lunch beforehand.

It was approx $50 each and we stopped at 7 different places: 3 restaurants, a bakery, a bar that also served food, a candy store and a store that sold products made from a local fruit (the haskap berry)

Thanks to all those who helped out on this question: certainly no dress code - and yes, comfortable shoes are great, but the total distance for most tours is only 1.5 km with lots of resting!
