My friend and I took the 1/2 hour harbour front tour with Morgan and really had fun with it. I was a bit nervous about riding a Segway as I am retired and not as physically capable as I once was. However, Morgan gave us great instruction on how to ride safely and we practiced starts and stops and turns until we were comfortable. The tour was the perfect length for us newbies and Morgan gave us great ideas for places to eat along with information on the boats and history of the area. I would recommend this tour.

Max did an excellent job of patiently coaching me (81 yrs old), two senior ladies and a young couple on the waterfront/boardwalk tour. First time for all of us on a Segway. He was very thorough and safety conscious as well as giving us good hints on Halifax history. Everyone did well and enjoyed the experience.

A group of 4 of us did the Segway waterfront spin; ages ranging from mid-30's to mid-70's. We had an absolute blast! The Segway was easy to learn how to operate and we all felt comfortable. Tour guide was knowledgeable and added to this awesome experience. Highly recommend!

So much fun! We did the waterfront tour. You start with a quick tutorial on how to drive the segways. Our tour guide (sorry I don’t remember her name!) was super encouraging and friendly, as well as knowledgeable about the history of Halifax. Don’t be scared to try the segways they are very intuitive and much easier to use than I expected!

Despite the fact we had rain 1/2 way thru tour it was so fun! Our guide - & sorry I don’t remember her name ☹️ was wonderful! They gave us rain ponchos, which was a bit late as we were up @ Citadel waiting for cannon to go off & they couldn’t get them to us, however, felt they really tried. We got a great overview of the city & it was one of our highlights of our cruise that I booked on my own on Viator. I was recommend this tour again & again! (I’m 63 & was fun to learn I could do the Segway)

We took the 2.5 hr city tour. It was great. We spent about 15-20 minutes training and Shannon made me very comfortable. Everyone on our tour had been on a Segway before so we did very well as soon as we started out. I loved that fact that we had headsets and could here Shannon as we rode around. Lots of history and sights to see. Great fun and it was a fabulous way to see Halifax. Also, Shannon gave us a great Poutine recommendation for our first experience eating Poutine. Yummy.

Our Segway tour was wonderful & much fun! We glided all over the harbor and citadel & our guide could not have been nicer (although he could have been a bit more knowledgable).

This Segway tour was the highlight of our trip.
There were 6 in our group plus Lauren, our tour guide. We were all newbies. Our ages ranged between 50 - 60 (not the youngest group ). None of us had been on a Segway before. Plus we were not skiers, skaters, or had other hobbies that translated to this. So let’s just say we were a bit nervous and apprehensive.
It starts off with a 10 minute video you watched explaining what to do and what not to do. Then Lauren helped us one at a time learning how to step on, balance, and move back and forth. Afterwards you had 10 minutes to practice around the meeting place. Lauren then took us on a mini obstacle course to get us comfortable going over bumps, up hills, down hills, stopping and getting off and on.
Then off we went touring beautiful Halifax. Head phones were provided so she could communicate and helmets for safety.
The whole tour (including the training) was to be 3 hours but we got back about 20 minutes early. While that would be our only area for improvement (a little more time on the segways), we still had a blast! We stopped several times along the way to visit the gardens and other tourist sites so we were not riding non-stop.
We were all sad when it was over. When we first started off, we were very apprehensive but by the end we felt like we were pros. Doesn’t take too long until you get comfortable riding them.
Thanks again Lauren for a trip we’ll never forget!!
I’d highly recommend this trip to friends and family.

Took the 2-hour City Spin (Oct 15, 3:00pm) with my wife and two other couples with Emma and had a fantastic time. Emma grew up there and knew so much about the area, it's history and some of its really cool nightlife vibe. Rode all over, including up to the Citadel! She also was smart enough to give us "foot breaks" because the hills can be hard on the feet after a while. We saw so much that we'd definitely go back and take a longer one next time! Max, the owner, did great ensuring we were trained up (we'd ridden several times before, so he made the training fit our experience!). The machines were also in good shape and handled very well (another plus -- no breakdowns for anyone). Overall, top notch tour we'd highly recommend!

We did the 3 hr Tour on a cruise trip and it was great! We've done lots of segway tours and this was definitely one of the top ones. Our guide was fun, a good story teller and kept a perfect pace. Lots of interesting stops as you weave throughout the city area. We made it to see the changing of the guard at the Citadel. Parked the segways so we could walk through the Public Gardens long enough to see them, use the bathroom and take some pictures of each couple on the pretty bridge there. We even saw the crane that feel over during the recent hurricane last month. The segways used were in good working order and we all had headsets so we could easily hear her the whole time. This is a great way to get an overview of Halifax!!

Are the prices listed on trip advisor American or Canadian dollar?
Written May 16, 2018
Hi. The prices I see on the "tripadvisor CANADA" page are in Canadian dollars, and the advertised price is preceded by a "C" (for Canadian dollars).
e.g. C$75.90
If you see the "C", then it's Canadian dollars.
Regards,
Max

We'll be there in mid-September on an NCL cruise. How do we find your kiosk
Written July 13, 2015
Our location is about a 12-14 minute walk to/from your ship, right on the Halifax Waterfront.
All our tours start/end at our waterfront kiosk location.
Maps are available on our website.
(Links to those maps are not permitted in this response.)
The maps identify “1521 Lower Water Street”, which is actually a large parking lot.
We are behind that parking lot on the Halifax Waterfront.
Cheers,
-Max

Can you pick up and drop off at the cruiseport?
Written January 27, 2015
Our summertime kiosk is close to the cruise ship port - about a 10 minute walk, along the Halifax Waterfront boardwalk, heading north.
Ships will dock somewhere around piers 20-23 in the Seaport District.
Maps can be found on our website (Waterfront & City Tours page).
We start and end our tours at our kiosk location.
We do not have access to the Seaport District, so we are not able to pick up or drop off groups at the cruise port.
