In 1820, Alexander Keith established his brewery in the heart of Halifax. Now, 196 years later, we’re proud to welcome you back into our home on Lower Water Street, the Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery. We invite you to come and visit us at our beautifully restored and renovated brewery, and to try our exciting new beers crafted by our brewmaster, Stefan Gagliardi. Cheers to all things raised in Nova Scotia.

We flew in yesterday and we were really looking forward going to this iconic brewery for lunch. We arrived after the lunch time rush when 90% of the seats were unoccupied. Although the food was very tasty compliments to the chef, the service was really...More

Just as the title says. When we arrived there were 2 other tables occupied. At 1pm you’d think our server would be attentive. Not the case. 10 minutes to get a beverage and our order taken. Another 25 minutes to get our meal. My partner...More

It was a very nice way to spend a rainy day. We took the tour and really enjoyed the pub portion with music and beer.

The Lazys live at Alexander Keith's Brewery, first time at this venue. While the acoustics aren't the greatest, the ambiance makes up for it. Great band, great friends, great place to party.

We booked the tour a few days before. So glad we did as it was sold out and others were turned away when they tried to cook on the spot. (It was a rainy day) The tour was about an hour and there were plenty...More

Visiting the area and needed something to do on a cold rainy day. The brewery was easy to find despite the construction downtown. We paid $23.95 a person as we are ex-military. Viewing how beer is made was interesting. The pub and music was fun.

Interesting 45-50 minute tour of original brewery. Mr. Keith was a well respected businessman/politician. Tour guides are knowledgable, offered 3-4 samples of beer throughout tour. Pricy for the value, enjoyed the Citdel visit much more and at much better price.

I believe it was $26/person. No need to book ahead. They have tours that run daily.
