In 1820, Alexander Keith established his brewery in the heart of Halifax. Now, 196 years later, we’re proud to welcome you back into our home on Lower Water Street, the Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery. We invite you to come and visit us at our beautifully restored and renovated brewery, and to try our exciting new beers crafted by our brewmaster, Stefan Gagliardi. Cheers to all things raised in Nova Scotia.

Compared to other brewery tours I've taken this one didn't have much in the way of the brewing process. It skims the surface on that front but does have some local historical information. The hour-long tour included several beer samples making it tasty and worthwhile....More

We went on a rainy Saturday just for some entertainment. It was better than I expected. It wasn't too in-depth, and didn't drag on forever. We ended up having a blast and stayed for the social afterwards. The beer was very tasty and the staff...More

Being from St. Louis, I've seen the A-B brewery tour, and Keith's is a tour of a different sort, but a truly enjoyable experience. It is long on story and short on particulars, and on walking. You really see all the brewery aspect in one...More

This was not at all what I expected. I thought it would be a brewery tour with some history, but it would be more accurately described as a little bit of history and some beer tasting. The brewery is very obviously no longer used to...More

The tour is a very light introduction to the beer making process as well as some history about Alexander Keith and his brewery. The tour guides were very entertaining and there was plenty of beer to go around and make the price well worth it....More

Took the family through. They enjoyed lemonade and ice tea. Good value for the tastings received. Tried many different brews along with the classic IPA. On a hot day, the lower levels of the tour were very welcome. Great staff and very talented.

It was a nice tour, but I was hoping to hear about the history of the brewery and have a visit to a "real" modern bottling plant. The tour guides keep you in an area that is supposedly historically correct (some plastic looking rock walls...More

We did a little family tour of the Brewery. Great history & very cool building! The samplings are good but a little rushed. I'm not a big beer drinker, but others in our group were, they enjoyed what they sampled, the amber gold ale were...More

I was part of a tour of Keiths Brewery today and would say it was worth the money. The staff who handle the tour not only give one a tour of the brewery, they also entertain those who are there for the tour. M I...More

After reading the reviews (bad) We went into it expecting nothing, but for 26.00 you get 30 ozs of beer and 5 staff. They si g and dance and we met the brew master. I loved it

Take my info for what it's worth, which is 3 visits. The only other songs I've heard is "farewell to nova Scotia" and the fables "heave away". Wethersfield or not those still occur in can't vouch for.

They start you off with their signature is, but at the end there are several beers to sample.
