It was fantastic being able to have the tastings outside and the beautiful scenery of the Annapolis and Gasperau Valley's. All 3 wineries were excellent and the staff were all knowledgeable and helpful. Our guide Colleen was absolutely the best, she knows her stuff and made sure everyone on board had a great day !!

We chose the Eat Halifax Tour, just one of the many offered by this tour company. This is a superb 2 ½ hour fully guided tour, driving you to local favorite eateries, cideries, wine bars and more.

If you love tasting and discovering local dishes when you travel to new destinations, then you’re going to thoroughly enjoy this food tour. This tour will also share a bit of the history of this City as you make your way along the streets of Halifax.

We love to take food tours when we go away and this one did not disappoint us. Our guide and driver, Susan, was very knowledgeable of all things Halifax and also a very good driver getting into tight spots for our tour. The food and drink tastings were amazing. On our tour we started off at the Seaport Farmer's Market at the Goldwater Lobster Shack for a mini lobster roll. Would definitely go back there again. We then went across the road to the Garrison's Brewery and had a tour and then sampled their craft beer. I had a maple beer which was very good. They even sell beer soap and chocolate. We then drove downtown to the Halifax Press food truck for a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with gourmet mustard. Very tasty! From there we went to Salvatore's (#1 pizza place in Halifax) to pick up pizza and took it to Liquid Gold, where we tried different kinds of oils and balsamic vinegar with our pizza. The Red Cayenne Olive Oil was great on it. We then travelled up to the Citadel where we got out and were able to take pictures of Halifax from top the hill. They then left the best to the last. We went to the Five Fisherman Restaurant. We tasted three Nova Scotia wines (Nova7, a sparking wine was sensational) and had a scallop with sauce that was cooked to perfection. We also got a tour and history of the restaurant which is purported to be haunted. We took pictures and there appears to be a man dressed in clothing from a different era showing up in the mirror behind us! Can't wait to go back to Halifax togo there again. The tour took about 3+ hours and you never felt you were being rushed from one place to another and the extra time at the restaurant was so interesting. Thank you Susan for such a great tour! One of our favourite activities while in Nova Scotia.

We actually went in July 2018. I wanted to review because I’d have used this food tour for comparison of what I look for in a food tour. They have done an excellent job with their web page and what to expect. The tastings were individual rather that eating from communal sampling plates. There was ample time for rest in between jaunts to the different eateries. And the food and local history were exceptional. I would definitely use them again.

Been on food tours at other places and this one is just as good. Had Nicola and Randy do the tour. Interesting variety- pizza, donair(sp), chowder, lobster, hard ciders. My opinion, nothing real special about pizza but donair was different and hard cider pretty good.
Nicola kept it interesting with historical and food chatter.
Definitely would recommend.

We wife and I took this tour on a rainy afternoon. Given the rain, it was certainly nice to go from place to place by van. But the van also gives this tour something of an advantage over walking tours in that it allows for visits to places to which persons could not otherwise walk. We thought those places were well chosen and provided an opportunity to see different parts of the city (with historical information provided about that part of the city) and different types of local food and drink. The food and drink were delicious, and I must say that there was so much of it my wife and I basically skipped dinner.

The 4 of us went on the Taste Halifax Food Tour on a Monday in July 2018. The van ride was wonderful. The restaurants we visited were more than friendly and accommodating (I have Celiac Disease and can't eat gluten). All of the food samples were spectacular as was the alcohol provided. Our guide, one of the owners, was entertaining, informative, and went out of her way to ensure we had a fabulous time. Would do this again in a heartbeat!

The Eat Halifax Tour is more than just food and wine - it is also about the history and geography of Halifax. On a cruise that stopped in Halifax, we chose to take the Eat Halifax Tour from the Taste of Halifax tour group and it was one of the highlights of our cruise. We were driven to several locations in Halifax and sampled several local Halifax food specialities. Not only did we enjoy some very tasty food, we also were given a brief tour of the city and the guide explained about the history and development of some of the neighborhoods. He also explained about how the geography of Halifax influenced its development helped it play an important role in several wars. We found there is more to Halifax than seafood and that it has a rich and impressive history. We would highly recommend the Eat Halifax Tour for anyone making a cruise stop in Halifax. For a foodie, it is as good, and most likely better, than anything the cruise ship has to offer.

My boyfriend and I took this tour. It's about three hours and you get a ton of samples. The tour guide and bus driver were wonderful and everyone on the tour with us was great. I highly recommend this tour if you want to experience some local breweries in Halifax!

Oh my... donair. Just have one. Trust us! We really enjoyed listening to Max, our guide. He knows his Halifax history for sure. We also had lobster rolls, seafood chowder, wine, hard cider, pizza and tasted olive oils. We would definitely take this tour again.
