We are so blessed to have thew Ardagh Bluffs in our neighbourhood. For those not familiar, the bluffs are a wooded area, generally along a hillside running from just west of Highway 400 at Essa Road all the way to the western boundary of Barrie, and past, towards Angus. The Bluffs are filled with walking and cycling trails. Filled with... More

A nice place to wander away a few hrs. While the scenery is a bit monotonous, the forest is a nice, quiet area to get some peace. There are a few different trails, coded by colour/symbol. Trees are painted along a trail to guide you.

If you love mountain biking up and down some step climbs, this is the trail for you. The scenery was lovely, it was nice being in a forest. But, little too short of a course (maybe 15 km) and too hilly for my taste.

I love this trail. It's a great trail for all fitness levels. We frequently take our kids through, ages 10, 12,13, 15. The path is more natural, watch for tree roots! Currently in the past couple months a huge tree fell over right over the path so might not be ideal for biking through there any longer.

We parked at the Holly rec center and made the walk over to the Ardagh Bluffs trail (it's literally right across the street, Emms street entrance ) We were truly astounded by the tranquility and seclusion of this trail considering it is in the heart of Barrie. This is a gem if you are in the area and are looking... More

Ardagh bluffs is beautiful with a number of different trails for walking or cycling or snowshoeing. I have encountered problems with owners who let their dogs off leash (it is clearly marked that dogs need to be kept on leash), but are unable to control them. I have had dogs jump on me, try to jump on me or growl... More

As many of the people mention about this park, you really do feel like you have left the city! The Bluffs and valley block out the sound very well of any vehicles whatsoever. The trails through the bluff carry on to other parks in the area and feels like one giant park system interconnected by the occassional road crossing. This... More

I like that this set of trails are not well marked, not maintained like a well used park and you can get lost or switched back. It's what makes this park such a treasure. You really feel you are away from it all. Take a few minutes to study or take a picture of the map before you go in.... More
