It is a gem here in Quinte. Great for walking or mt. biking. The parking fees are pathétique, but this was the conversation authority's decision.

We come here regularly with the dogs. Summertime is great to walk across the water or sit on the rocks and watch the dogs playing. A few trails and camping sites too...

Went for a hike with a dog during high water. Trails were wet in areas but still passable. Not well marked if you are nervous about that, but just follow the river. Great outing! Did a 6km hike and enjoyed every minute.

Back to nature & loving it...so wild yet so naturally gorgeous...We enjoyed splashing & swimming on the water steps & miniature waterfalls on the Moira River. Our shore picnic was a hit too.

My brother and I went just after the first snowfall a few weeks ago. The park was beautiful and peaceful. The "maps" don't quite give accurate information and we navigated from memory from the fall trip. Could use better markings or signs. Overall a great place for a hike.

We went for a hike here when it was all covered in snow. Which probably worked to our benefit as we could see foot steps and it helped us decide which way to go as the trails are poorly marked. The river is beautiful and the flat rocks next to it make for some scenic views.

We didn't spot much wildlife, just chipmunks and birds but its a great hike regardless.

Went here recently for a day hike with a friend. When coming to the parking lot, the only way to pay is online. There are also no maps of the trails. They do have one that you can take a picture of at the beginning of the trail. I personal found the trails poorly marked and ended up off trail for quite a period. This did kind of work to our benefit because we ended up by the Moira River and there is some beautiful areas along here.
There are flat rocks across the whole river that have Inukshuk's (stacked rocks) all along the river here.
We managed to get back on a trail later on but again, they aren't marked very well.
Just some lines (red or blue) paint on tree's, nothing indicating direction or anything.
There is also a boys scout lodge area and you walk thru there to get to the trail. Again, no marking to indicate that though, hence the reason we ended up off trail.
Would love to see some improvements because this looks like it would be a great place to explore more.

Great place for a picnic, some fishing, and frolicking in the water. There are no amenities, just a pretty spot to spend a hot afternoon.

Make sure to put on your bug spray 🤣, biking is great, the rocks are very flat, the water is very shallow, we did not see any wildlife, but a great place.

Being city dwellers, my partner and I relish the opportunity to get out in nature and enjoy a brisk walk and some solitude. Vandrwater is absolutely lovely, not too busy and had so many different places to stop and chill out. The river rapids are beautiful and right next to a pond surrounded by what looks like the surface of the moon. This would be a beautiful place for a picnic (remember to throw out your trash!).
