It was a good place to go for a walk in nature. There are no steep climbs, but you have to watch where you put your feet (there are many rocks and roots on the way). It was fun to walk along the river and to go see the lookout. Since it was on a Monday in October, there weren't many people around.

Overall, it is great venue for the entire family, regardless of age. However, for an outdoor educational facility operated by the local board of education (HPEBE), I was surprised to see all the stumps and rocks everywhere on the paths. It is liability issue waiting to happen. Further the boardwalk in swampy sections is need of some major renovations.

So pristine and delightful natural area...well maintained and groomed but left natural as possible. We enjoyed a lovely family outing.

first time visit, it was amazing, very peaceful and the trails were well kept. There is even exciting educational challenges, which were very well accepted by the family - trails are clean as well. There are 3 x port a johns, 2 out houses and one bldg for restrooms - but none on the trail, so ensure you go before you head out. staff is very friendly as well

I took students there for a field trip and they loved it! Knowledgeable staff, great experience.
The trails through the woods are great to explore and animal friendly.

You need your camera, please put on your bug spray for there are lots of mosquitoes.
We saw a heron, turtles, toads, frogs, birds, ducks geese, and as we were about to leave we saw a huge beaver, that was very sweet and special.
Wear running shoes and comfortable clothes.

I took my kids there a year ago and it was a great learning experience. They got a first hand understanding of the effects we have on the environment. Everyone should take their children here. A totally great experience.

This is a great park with much to see. Riverfront, forest and wetland trails and board walks. Some of the wood bridges unfortunately need repair and this park could use more funds. But they do great with what they have and this park is fine for anyone able bodied enough to hike.

This is a great place to come for a quick hike with the dog. We like this trail as it is only a few minutes from Belleville. People keep the trails clean also. Summertime hiking is the best!!!!
