This past Friday we were taking pictures in The Glenhyrst Gardens and it was raining on and off... The couple working the Gallery were so friendly and helpful and offered any of the guest to come inside to cool off as it we 32 Celsius with a humidity of 40. They also told us that we could take pictures anywhere... More

The Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant is well-worth a visit. The grounds are stunningly beautiful being maintained by the city park's department. During the Xmas season, wonderful lighting displays can be seen and the rest of the year it makes a picture-postcard setting for wedding photography or just walking through the gardens enjoying nature. Throughout the year, the gallery offers... More

We come here every Spring, fall and winter. We come here to take a walk around to see all the beautiful flower gardens. We also enjoy going into the art gallery after to look at the local aspiring artist. They have a lovely little tea room which I have only seen outside of, I never actually went into that part... Glenhyrst has been in Brantford for years. The Gallery hosts interesting art shows from time to time. However, for me, it is distinguished because of its location and setting. The Gallery is housed in a former mansion in an upscale residential part of Brantford. Glenhyrst's grounds are beautiful and calming. It has seldom been busy when I have visited -... More

A little hidden gem for the art world in Brantford....but wait! It's not just for the Artsy people, there are all sorts of events going on for the entire family, from family art day, to Christmas light displays, to a tea shop for a spot of afternoon tea....or it's a great place to park the car and stroll through the... I prefer smaller galleries and this one was perfect. The building itself is steeped in history but the exhibit spaces have been created as perfectly neutral backdrops to show exhibits to their full potential. The staff were all very friendly and I imagine that if I lived nearby I'd be a frequent visitor. The gallery also benefits from having a... More

This historic home is a treasure in itself to explore donated by Mr. Edmund Cockshutt, overlooking the grand river. This gorgeous building houses 4 gallery exhibition spaces for viewing on two floors. There is elevator access if required. While there be sure to visit the art rental in the basement of the gallery or book ahead and have high tea... More

My friend & I stopped off at this Art Gallery on the way to visit some other attractions in and around the city of Brantford. I am very happy we stopped here. The grounds of this Gallery are also the home of Glenhyrst Gardens. We walked amongst the beautiful tall trees and admired the view of the Grand River Valley.... More
