Worth passing by the Conservation Area for the drive alone! Being on top of Mount Nemo as a fellow Ontarian adds a smidge of perspective to the busy life close to the lake. You can imagine how beautiful it can be in August as the trees assist with cooling down the hot temperatures that can feel suffocating. A clear sight is enough to allow us to withdraw from the hustle and bustle of daily living. Mount Nemo does that.

After hiking to Rattlesnake Point in the fall, I had to take in the views from the other side of the saddle between two parts of the Niagara Escarpment. Many whizz by on their trip along Highway 401 and gasp at the sheer drop off of this awesome geological area. It's worth a turn off to discover many features within the Halton Region Conservation Area. I bought a year pass on their website figuring even if I don't get back I'm supporting the work in this environment. Pre-booking my trip was easy and the auto gate recognized my car's license plate. It was a hot day for May but the trail grade was not very steep, views were amazing, turkey vultures soared. Fun and part of the Bruce Trail too!

It is rocky so I'm sure this is more concerning during icy or wet times, but outside those times it is stunning. The views are breath taking and the rocky hike make things more exciting. We do the big loop with my 9 and 8 year old (our pup too - lab/husky) and we all love it.

As a property taxes payer, school, public library out, job is scarce visiting parks should be free. Too sad!

I go cross country skiing at Mt. Nemo just for the flat, clear trail, and the beautiful view awaiting me at the end of the ski trail. The ski trail opens onto the Mt. Nemo lookout on the Niagara Escarpment overlooking the country around and in the town of Milton. Love to ski this on one of my shorter ski trips.

The trails are well marked and have easy to more challenging paths. A great place to hike with your family and canine companions.

It was ok. The trek to the actual viewpoint is very easy-- no slopes or climb. The only downside is there is only one major viewpoint at Mount Nemo, but since you're so close to Rattlesnake Point, and the entry fee you buy at either the Point or the Mount includes entry to the other (along with selected Halton Region conservation areas), you might as well go!
