There is nothing like CBC’s Q live, nothing better than the River Run Centre to show off the talent of Guelph and the urbane hipster born of The Rock, Tom Powers.
Excellent set up.
Super acoustics.
Small bathrooms.
Q-Trip: Parking is free for 2 hours and free after 6.
5:30 dinner at Bin23 and a little walk worked out.
Bathroom strategy is slow back on the wine, and
a pit stop pre-exit while the bill has been processed.

Every year we visit this location for a dance competition for our daughter. This is a well designed theatre in a great location. Always clean and well maintained. Parking is sometimes an issue.

The River Run Centre has been Guelph's centre of gravity when it comes to theatre, musical, concerts or other cultural events, presentation or gatherings. A nice and modern building with great acoustics is located by the river and across from the Sleiman Centre. Visited for many occasions and never got disappointed ...

Whether your interest is a symphony concert, songs from the greats like Elvis and Billy Joel or some fine gospel singing it is likely that you might find it here in the heart of this small city just a short drive from Mississauga, Hamilton or Kitchener.
Being the Christmas season my wife wanted to see the recently announced Festival of Trees and I tagged along. It was my first visit to the venue and what a surprise. It really is delightful. Seating is comfortable and there are even "boxes" to the sides. Acoustics are good too and like in most theaters these days you can pre-order refreshments for the intermission — really saves the crush.
For those with a mobility challenge I noticed there was Disabled parking at the front of the theater. There is also a parkade across the street. Washrooms are also easily accessed in the theater.
If you live within an hour or are visiting this delightful university city then please check out what might be playing at the River Run Centre. If you are like me, you won't be disappointed.

Need healthier food and more choice - vegetables and dip; sandwiches; pita and hummus - more protein. Currently they serve only pizza, canned soup, and bagels. Lots of carbs., fat and salt. Restaurants in this area close EARLY. Step up!

We have been to the RIver Run Centre many times for everything from the Guelph Symphony, Comedy shows, Ballet and childrens programs.
The selection is varied so there is something for everyone to choose from and see. The accoustics are great for any style entertainment.
It is a truely remarkable centre that Guelph should be very proad to have. It has the capability to hold larger scare shows while continue to focus on the community programing as well.
We love it!!

This was our first visit to the River Run Centre and we were very impressed. the venue is beautiful and the sound quality was excellent. Our only caution is to arrive early as parking seems very limited. We ended up having to park a 10+ minute walk away.

Loved this theater. Great acoustics and very clean. Everyone had a good view of the stage. Staff were all very helpful. Washrooms were clean as well.
We had dinner downtown prior to the show and just walked from there. Always check if the Sleeman Centre has an event going on too. If they do you may have to park off site somewhere along the street. We went to a musical play. There is a variety of events that are held here though. Concerts, Plays, Ballets, Symphony Orchestra, Magicians and more. Something for everyone.
You can volunteer here and even rent one of the halls for a function if you like. There is a gift shop in the lobby and the Centre is totally Accessible. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone, by mail or at the box office.

We were at a concert in the larger hall but found it smaller than expected. There really are no bad seats.
Parking was a problem. The Sleeman Centre across the street has a parking garage but a hockey game was on that evening. We did not want to risk not getting a spot. So we took a cab instead.
Great acoustics. A large, classy lobby. Nice location on the river at the edge of downtown. Free WiFi while you wait or during intermission.
