From Toronto take the 401 West to Exit 299. Go right off the exit, then drive about 1-2 km. The Aberfoyle Antiques Market is on the left. Here are the key facts....

1. The market is open every Sunday from late May to late October. It costs 2$ per person to enter the market.
2. Along the outer area of the market, you will find sellers who are not permanent fixtures to the market. Sometimes the deals are better out in this section, but not always.
3. There are about 2 good hours worth of old treasures for the casual browser, about 3-4 for the serious buyer.
4. There is a good selection of furniture, glassware, art, old toys, vintage clothes, and much more.
5. This is also a good place to find Canadian antiques, such as old skis, hockey memorabilia, and vintage signs and bottles.

Well worth a couple of hours on Sunday morning.

Great place to visit on a Sunday especially in good weather as it’s all outdoors! Lots of vendors, grounds are clean, lots of parking, places to sit and eat, restrooms and only $2 per person.

I am an avid collector of certain types of antiques and it's all about the hunt, Aberfoyle Antique Market is a great place to hunt. Always changing items and if you ask for something you may find they have it next time. It is nice to jave the ability to haggle over prices.

I'm not much for flea markets but we wanted to go for a drive on a beautiful Sunday and ended up at the Flea Market on Brock Rd. We were pleasantly surprised as there is something for everyone. Probably more interesting for baby boomers as we can remember when they weren't antiques!! The dealers are friendly and eager to sell as well as the wares are clean and interesting to prowl the stalls and maybe find a hidden treasure. Worth a look~~

Bedsteads to bric-a-brac to brass locks. And so much more. Items large, small and in-between. Fun bargain hunting for Something Different (or something to complete a collection you've already started). With possibly as many as a hundred booths on a regular market Sunday during the season, the Aberfoyle Antique Market is Canada’s largest outdoor antique market. Open rain or shine, a sunny day is preferable, though some of the booths are of a more permanent nature. (These are not in contiguous buildings, so dancing between the raindrops would be necessary.) Take a leisurely stroll ~ this is not a mad-dash anonymous shopping mall. Take your time and browse the different collectibles and antiques, reminisce, and chat with the friendly dealers. Pricing is very fair and frequently negotiable. In the center of the grounds is a shaded area with washrooms (rustic, yet clean), a basic playground, picnic tables and a few different food stands including everybody's fave ~ fresh ice cream, as well as an indoor restaurant. Lots of free parking; admission to the grounds is $2.00 p.p. Free for kids. All low key and a good couple of hours of low-tech entertainment! After 55 years, still a popular spot.

Love this place!! It's an outdoor market that's is just antiques. ABERFOYLE MARKET opens early, 8:00am every Sunday from May till end of September. There are at least 100 dealers regularly and then these picker like dealers that are different every week.
It only takes a few hours to see all the stalls, and then make your way back to purchase a treasure or two. And the dealers aren't snobby like some of the shows I go to. They have good food, clean washrooms with lots of stalls (with paper)That's a huge issue for me, I won't use the portapotties at some outdoor shows, well, you know. I always seem to run into people I know at the market, and always buy something for a good price. Last purchase was old ceiling tins for my garden.
Not too far to drive, and easy to get to, just north of the 401 a few minutes past Milton. It's worth it, if you like old stuff, this is THE place to visit in the summer. Even a playground for the kids, dogs are allowed too. I'm going this long weekend!

For just a couple of dollars, browsing through treasures and junk is a wonderful way to spend a few hours on a sunny Sunday. You are bound to find that matching replacement knob for a dresser, or even a night stand to match the one you already have from Grandma. There are also beautifully finished new pieces, made from old wood. A playground for younger children and a couple of attractive seating areas for the food concessions help break up the activity, if not everyone in the family is as keen on old treasures as you are! I usually visit the Aberfoyle Antique Market several times in the season to look for something specific till I find it, or just to get creative ideas.

Same old Aberfoyle antique market, although it seemed as if they have extra stands now. Worth a visit on a Sunday morning, park on the grass, $2.00 to enter the market grounds which shouldn't stop you. Lots of junk to some but gold to others. You leave this place and regret not buying something.

Off exit 299 on Hwy. 401 just a short drive north. Watch your speed in Aberfoyle!

I get into Guelph about twice a year from NS but this was the first time I visited this antique market. I didn't hear about it until late on a Sunday & only got to spend about 3 hours there. I could have spent the whole day there & probably will the next time I am in Guelph. I didn't meet an unfriendly vendor & most people were in a happy mood. The place was packed even late in the day. There is probably something for everyone at this market. Only cost $2 bucks to get in & the parking was free. How can you beat that?
