A group of us had a tour and the guide was knowledgeable and very entertaining. Not as big as I thought it would be but nonetheless still informative. They had some samples at minimal costs at the end. The tour guide was fantastic and cant reiterate that. Great brewery story!

The history, the premises, the staff were all excellent! Quite a facility producing a good quality beer selection. Amazing the cleanliness of the producing floor & how quickly the production line can produce such a quantity of beer. We were unaware of the beer selection that this facility actually produces. Also sat & enjoyed the flight of beers that we enjoyed on their patio. We would recommend a stop & enjoy the premises to any local groups or anyone touring stopping in the community.

This is a great activity if you want to gather friends, a sports team or family. We recieved great input about the Sleeman history and its different beers. The technical side was interesting when discussions about bottles, cans and kegs was brought up. We walked around the Brewery for approximatly 45 minutes then slid away to the tasting room. What delight to enjoy several different beers and flavours beside our friends. We enjoyed a few small tastings only to find the perfect ones, then a few bigger, more filling ones.
This is a great team event that should be done when in the Guelph area. Take the time, the friends and enjoy.
For those who like to try differnet beers, this stop was delisciously enjoyable!

My wife and I ended up being the only visitors on our guided tour of the Sleeman brewery. (It was a hot summer's day and I guess people opted for the pool rather than a hot brewery production plant!). Normally they have groups of 15 or so visitors. After being able to sample a cross section of different beers (including the Sapporo beer of the new owner that is being brewed here as well) in the bar room, we enjoyed a very personal, interactive tour of the plant. Brie - who has been with the company for over eight years - was a delightfully knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who ensured (with additional support from a colleague) an unforgettable experience: a definite 5 out of 5 stars!
PS: Don't forget to bring proper shoes as visitors are not allowed to tour the plant in sandals or other shoes where the toes are exposed. (In case you forget, Sleeman will provide visitors with hard capped shoes for the tour but we heard that they are not very comfortable to wear.)

So, you don't want to take the tour on friday night, if you can take it on the thursday since the factory shuts down friday for cleaning. That way you can watch the entire facility in operation. I wish i would have known that.
They will let you pick 3 brews for tasting and they will be the freshest beer your lips have EVER tasted. Knocked my socks right off! I am an avid sleeman drinker and holy crap. Just when i thought it couldn't taste any better. After the tour you will get to enjoy a couple pints in the COOLEST "speak easy" i have ever been in. The store could have offered a few better novelty items BUT you can pick up some of that fresh beer on your way out since it doubles as an offsale shop.
We made it there by transit with a 500 m walk to the brewery from our stop.

The beer was great, the tour was interesting and very informative. You learn a bit of history including the role the Sleeman family played during prohibition in the United States.

We did a tour of the Sleeman brewery for a business project to learn more about the brand, the brewing process and to understand the production methods that differentiate Sleeman from its competitors. Our guide was very knowledgable in the brewing process and was passionate about the company - every question was answered enthusiastically and supported with great stories tied to the company's past. After the tour we were able to sample the product and relax in the lounge area which had an interesting array of historical items tied to Sleeman family and brewery. Informative and entertaining

I was part of a special seniors’ group custom tour hosted by none other than family scion John Sleeman. We were afforded a bird’s eye view of the complete production process followed by the mandatory tasting room finale which in our case included a delicious light lunch. John shared the company history and we were able to handle the original recipe book as well as vintage glass bottles. Do not miss the 19th century warrant from the British Crown which miraculously survived and is displayed on the wall of the hospitality suite. It was an outing to savour in so many memorable ways. A special thank you to John and his hard working hostess assistant!

not too hard to get to, service lacks, beer is cold and less expensive than buying at the beer store.

This is a great place to go to if you have time to spare. Great history and amazing beer, I was sold after a few samples. And at the end of my tour I got a free glass to take home, thanks!

Would give a group of 50 a tour and tasting or food pairing in September 2018? We are hosting a gathering of Masons from around the world and would love to show them your facility. Thanks for your time, Ann White
