At BATL Axe Throwing, we believe that sport should be inclusive, fun for everyone in the family, and above all, be a safe entertainment bullseye. With safety and teaching being the highest priority at BATL, our coaches help everyone over twelve years old remember the feeling of their first bullseye. Whether you're bringing your young family out for some in-town entertainment or putting on a stag, bachelorette, birthday, team-building, or fundraising event, we'll make sure it's memorable and safe. No matter what BATL location you visit across North America, you can expect delicious food and drinks, axe throwing lanes, expert coaching, and a fun tournament. This was my first time axe throwing. We arrived as a group 12 people. As an introduction, we had an amazing coach named Matt. He was great at instructing the rules of the game as well as teaching each person how to properly throw an axe. I would definitely recommend a coach if it is your first time axe throwing. As a brief summary - to start, the game is 1 vs. 1 (two teams) depending on how big your party is. We had two lanes in total. Each person takes their turn throwing an axe, amongst your team. Your objective is to hit the axe, as close to a bullseye as possible to gather more points to beat the other team. The top 4 players with the most points have a face off, from there the top two players move on to the final round. Then, the top two players have a “big axe” battle for top player. Overall, I would most likely try this again although I find it could be a little on the pricey side for the total amount of time you get to play as a larger party. If more lanes were open for us, it would have been more enjoyable.

Had about 20 people together for a birthday party, the staff were friendly and helpful. Only complaints are that some of the boards were fresher than others so when you're facing off against someone it's not always completely fair if you have fresh boards and theirs are already well worn in with cracks. And the price seems a little steep, but for a fun afternoon it's not too bad.
I'd go again for sure!

We had a work team building event for a dozen people and had an ace time. 2 and a half hours flew by and Nate was the perfect coach for a group of us that had never thrown an axe before helping us improve and keeping things competitive. Great fun, I'll definitely go again.

Of course it helped that I won the axe throwing "round robin" amongst our group, but BATL is definitely worth checking out.
Our instructor, although fairly new, was excellent and very helpful. He certainly helped keep things organized and safe!
There is a reasonably priced bar on site. Our party ordered in some really good pizza and the rest was history. Good times and definitely worth checking out.

I was here for a bachelor party and had a brilliant time. Mary and Vince ran our tournament and were very entertaining. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon in Toronto.

An amazing night with some axes and beers with the boys. The coaches (Teresa and Dan)help you with tips throughout the night and kept score for a tournament we had. Most of us were beginners and after some practice we all started getting the hang of it. Great night as the groom to be ended up winning the tournament. Everyone left wanting more axe throwing action. We will return!!

We went to BATL Hamilton on the weekend to celebrate some birthdays. We were hosted by a fantastic group. The Manager Kyle was really helpful., our host Matt “Redbeard” was fantastic! He was so helpful to all of our group, people who had never thrown and axe and a few regulars!! Spencer who was working the bar kept us smiling and refreshed.
The staff and the hall itself are fantastic.
