Live in the U.S. but wanted to come to Canada to see a great Canadian singer here... Concert was great, but venue was not great. Needs better signage-- if you park in underground garage you'll have no idea where to go to get out of said garage and get to venue. Why aren't there directional signs? The venue inside smells like stale cigarette smoke and stale popcorn. It is a very dated 1970s bunker with odd angles and hard to find doors. In other words, it's not easy to figure out where things are inside. In June, it was very hot inside- wanted to step outside to get cool air in between concert sets but was told to go to second floor smoking area instead (didn't, don't want to be around smokers)... NO free water fountain. I was so thirsty but didn't want to pay $6 for a bottled water on principle. Now here's the worst thing about this old, dated venue: it has no MIDDLE AISLE, so you will spend the entire concert with people having to walk in front of you to get in/out of aisles-- soooo awkward. Who designed this place?! Finally, the neighborhood feel once you exit the venue could best be described as "hide your keys, hide your wife." Pretty dystopian with crazies walking around.

Went to see the Barenaked Ladies here. Great venue for concerts. Be aware the seat numbering system is a little strange. The right hand side of the theatre is even numbers and the left hand side is odd numbers. There is also no central aisle splitting the orchestra section - you may have to crawl over a lot of patrons if you enter late. That said, the seats are a good size and there is a lot of leg room. Very good layout and acoustics are good too... Don't get confused with the FirstOntario Centre which is the sports stadium nearby.

My mother and I took my nephew here to see the Fred Penner concert. The concert wasn't in the main hall but rather was in a smaller theatre called The Studio. The seating in here was all stackable chairs. The layout was a little confusing but the ushers were quite helpful. Good acoustics and the concert itself was quite fun. Because it wasn't sloped though it wasn't the best sight lines especially for the kids. Still overall it was a fun evening and my nephew enjoyed it.

This Hamilton arena holds approximately 17,000 people with floor seating and a lower 100s and upper 200s level seating..
Beware the upper level has obstructed views due to any lighting fixtures placed near main stage. There are some vendors through the arena but not the variety found at the ACC. Parking ranges from $15-25 in and around the area.

The 5 stars only goes to the Orchestra, Pianist, and the sweet lady playing the bel canto. Shen Yun was out dated and a complete bore. The dancers were fine at their best, 1 star only! Too expensive for what we received? In this digital age the back schrene was so out dated, I don't know why it has a patent. They say don't miss your chance. I say miss it completely.
