Lots of construction work being done when we visited. Like all places the area is now being developed into multiple condos. What is left of the piers is quite nice, with a few mini man made beaches with sun loungers dotted around.
Not sure how appealing it will be when all the condos are up.

I visited this park to meet a friend and I was super awed with this beautiful hidden gem of Hamilton. Parking was easy and free. The famous Theodore tugboat boat can be seen at Pier 8. There is Williams café to enjoy snacks and coffee. Must visit if you are in Hamilton and enjoy the beauty of Lake Ontario.

Visiting Canadian friends with some friends from home, we had a morning at Dundurn Castle and then had a picnic lunch at the adjacent Harvey Park.

Then, we split into a groups of four and five. My group toured several parks. After Bayfront Park and Sam Lawrence Park, we had time for one more stop. We went to Pier 4 Park.

Parking and admission were free.

This is a fairly small park with a lot of features that included a playground with an old tugboat, a pavilion on a pier, Hamilton Waterfront Trail, and more.

We went to the section over by the defunct maritime museum for fabulous views of marine traffic on Hamilton Harbour and views of Burlington, Burlington Bay James N. Allan Skyway.

It was puzzling as to why the defunct maritime museum had failed. It had a very suitable location.

Our Canadian friends told us that this, like Bayfront Park, was once an industrial waste site, but the City of Hamilton reclaimed it, cleaned it up, and built the park.

We really enjoyed the views here. During our visit, a big cargo ship came in.

We rate Pier 4 Park at 4.50.

Lovely park, close to many amenities. Only downside is that it is VERY dark to get home at night. Went for a beer event, assumed we'd catch a cab home but it took forever (that was summer 2017). But, daytime, this is a wonderful park.

The surroundings and harbourfront are very nice at this park. It's a great place for families for picnics, has a nice kids play area and a cool tug boat. But walking on the paths along the water was very relaxing and peaceful. There were a few boats on the lake. Very pretty.

This is a hidden gem - Hamilton should be proud to have this facility that is located on the lake. It was great to visit this area, after having cruised on the Hamilton Harbour Queen. The roller rink, by Williams Cafe was on fire, with the music pulsating. Did you know that the DJ that plays the music for the roller rink is a volunteer! He and his wife are excellent and thanks for the great tunes!!! Will visit again, maybe take a whirl!!
