Bayfront is a great place to come with friends, couples or family. The scenery is very soothing and appealing to view because it is surrounded by water. I usually come here for exercise in the spring and summer time. It has long paved trails for you to take a walk or jog around. In the summer it also has food trucks. There are washrooms located at this park and a large parking lot to park your car free of charge. I recommend this park for people who live in Hamilton and for people who live out of town and want a change of scenery. This is my favourite park to walk at in Hamilton, it has many wildlife critters for you to see.

I walk the paths of both Bayfront and Pier 4 Parks every day. Almost entirely flat geography so wonderful way to exercise for anyone. Great to see lots of people enjoying the space, regardless of weather. So lovely to look at the water along the way. Free parking if you have to drive to the parks. Toilet access is a problem at times as the hours don't always make sense and one set not open at all in the winter. A peaceful setting; bring your own food/beverages if you plan on staying for the afternoon. NOTHING available for sale, unless food trucks are allowed again during summer months.

My husband and I decided to go to Bayfront Park today to enjoy the breeze off the water. To our dismay, the park was covered with geese feces which is virtually everywhere! There were also numerous unsightly encampments that surround the grounds. We were there for over an hour and only saw 5 other people on what was a beautiful day. It’s unfortunate that the City can’t do more to maintain the park so that it is a clean, safe space that is used by more people.

I walk in this park on a daily basis. Safe pedestrian paths and more planned events occurring. So lovely to be at the waterfront. Lots of picnic tables around and more trees have been planted in certain areas for more shade (in the next couple of years!). One major issue is lack of toilet facilities. There are a set of facilities in a building at the entrance to the park; however, they are a long distance away from where most people walk, hang out. Portable toilets need to be available. Also, there needs to be more daily maintenance of the park as a whole. A couple of crews empty garbage bins, but do vey little to pick up items throughout the park. And there needs to be a group who really knows how to maintain plants/gardens. Many weeds simply cut back rather than being eliminated which is killing the real plants. And the geese....so much of a feces mess! However, it is a beautiful place to walk, cycle, blade, and spend time at the water's edge.

We biked from Princess Point to Bayfront Park and around the area, winding up at a "patio" restaurant on King William just east of James Street. Very nice paved and flat trail. Lots of parking at either end. Very enjoyable day.

It's hard to believe that the powers that be in city hall actually got this park right (given the general disaster of the downtown). The kiddies can't swim in the polluted water, but there are lovely walks and great birdwatching...if you look out at the water from some of the headlands, you could imagine you are well outside the city.

Great place to walk the dog! Paved paths encourage wheeled patrons, but in my experience everyone is super polite and the right-of-way is respected.
Excellent if you need somewhere to show off your Freedom Convoy leanings.. Quite a few unnecessarily large trucks for a city but I'm sure the fuel expenditure is worth it.
Plenty of places for bbq's without negatively affecting others

A nice clean public park. Plenty of paths and well designed.
Ample parking however I suspect when the warmer weather, parking will be at a premium
Beautiful area with water, green space and benches

Have always enjoyed our visits to the waterfront trails. Lots of parking, great views of the boats in the water and the long waterfront trail creates lots of good viewing. There is even a very good restaurant by the water, Williams, where we have dined many times. There are a few trails, one that is like a circular course and another that goes right from Pier 4 to Princess Points , several kilometres away. There is also a tour shuttle that follows the whole shoreline. Well worth the visit.
